I'm just a bit confused was this piece written for violin or viola is there a difference please can you explain thank you?
hi, im pretty sure this piece was written for full orchestra, because of the lower parts and higher parts she plays in this piece. i also listen to vivaldi on a daily basis lol

also there is a difference between viola and violin through the clef and strings. viola is lower, bigger, and in alto clef. the strings are also (from lowest to highest pitch C, D, G, A. voilin however is in treble clef, and is smaller. strings from lowest to highest in pitch are G, D, A, and E

@@John-Forsythe viola is a bit bigger than violin, so finger placements would be a bit off. it is also in a different clef, and notes are in different spots on the staff (the five lines that your notes a, b, c, d, e, f, and g lay on)
if youre learning viola, or switching from violin to viola, i recommend pitch practice. flats are going to be your worst enemy when switching. the clef (and this may just be because I’ve only played viola) is relatively easier to read than treble. middle c is in the middle, or third on your g string. its definetly a culture shock to violin players, but it is a beautiful instrument to play
