- What a year it has been for DA BEARS! I knew the bears were gonna be good but I didn't think they were gonna be this good. This bears defense has been the best I've seen since 2012! Let's keep it going boys and beat the eagles!!

Damn I miss this team so much. This was definitely the most fun defense I’ve ever watched. I really wish Eddie Jackson never got injured or we probably would have beaten the eagles. I also wish Vic fangio stayed with us. This defense would’ve been a dynasty of its own.
Gabriel same!!! I think Fangio needs to come back. I think this year is his last year with the broncos too. Hopefully next season he’ll come back with us cause Pagano just ain’t cutting it.

Gideon Arthur yeah we do. There were too many injuries last year. But the crazy thing is our defense was still top 10 even with injuries.

The double doink. What a way to end a season. That defense really was good enough to win a SB…. The offense just needed to do enough. One of the funnest defenses to watch in my 41 years of being a bears fan

Just watching the highlights, Vic Fangio was the reason why the bears succeeded. Man, his defensive play calls were insane; the 4 man down linemans were shifting instead of bull rushing like what Chuck Pagino is doing and etc. Also, the late blitzes from the safeties and instant safety pressures were the key. Unlike Pagino, the dude never uses his safety to blitz.
Completely agree! I hope Fangio comes back after this season. I also liked the fact that Fangio would move Mack around the whole d Line. Pagano is so conservative! We rarely blitz. I don’t even think blitzing is part of his scheme.
@@MAWY119 It’s not! How can you hired a man who held the colts defense dead last in the NFL. The man doesn’t use any sort of blitzes to get pressure to the QB. In today’s standard, you have to send 5-7 players just to draw pressure. We can see how crazy blitzes have drove QBs nuts. One example was this season when the Tampa Bay’s defense had to go up against the packers. I don’t have to explain anymore; film will tell you how that went for Rodgers.

I just had to come watch this video and remind myself how fun this defense was. Dominant, tone setting, swaggy (I still will listen to swag surfin’ on a Sunday afternoon when they play on a Sunday Night) that locker room was electric after wins. Football Outsiders has this defense ranked 12th all time in DVOA their rankings. I hope Eberflus can build on this young defensive backfield by getting some great free agents and draft picks this year. They could be fun to watch again soon.

It’s crazy looking back on some of these plays. I never realized how hard some of these tackles actually were when I saw them in real time, but the Bears had some hitters in 2018!

the culture Matt Nagy has set for this team is so fun to watch and see unfold in front of our eyes. The guys seem to me legitimately having fun playing for this team and playing for their city and playing with each other witch we haven't seen in what fells like eons lol. I fell this team as a whole is going to take major leaps this coming year besides a few fears witch I definitely know will be squished by the opening snap this team is a bigger super bowl contender than we have had in the franchises history in my opinion . The nfl is ours to take because like the say defense wins championships and we have the best in the whole freaking world so bring it on 2019 the Bears have arrived again and we are hear to stay #beardown
I love what Matt Nagy is doing with this team!! Like you said it seems they're legitimately having fun. I think the bears needed this type of atmosphere. The last time I saw them like this was when Lovie Smith was still HC, but even then they weren't having this much fun. They definitely have a tough schedule this season but I know they can do it!!!
Oh ya when you are having fun like they are is when your are at your most dangerous. Because a group that has this much fun on field is probably tight witch means the group understands each other so they can work well with each other witch results in better on field playing. Don’t know if that makes since but I tried to explain my thoughts the best I could lol. Also I believe this team can beat anybody we have the best defense on earth and this offense is going to just get better with added weapons to the offense. And they have had a whole year to jell so this year is going to be a lot of fun !!!!

Honestly the biggest issue with the bears is self sabotage. We don’t have any continuity. We switch coaches so often. The main issue though is switching defenses. 4-3 to 3-4 and then back to 4-3 again. That set the team back so far. When you switch defense’s certain positions have to be filled based on that so you have to get rid of a lot of players and basically start over. Hopefully we stick the 4-3.

Best defense since 85'. Oh wait its 2019. We're even better! Maybe not in the secondary but when a QB has to run for his life on every play their chances of doing anything are fairly slim. Paganos defense struggles on quick middle slants...in fact all middle of the field pass plays unless they're hail marys. . If the QB is given enough time the middle of the field is susceptible to a huge play. Not sure how I went from best defense since 85' to calling the middle weak, but it's a legitimate statement .
A F yesterday’s game was brutal to watch! The defense couldn’t stop the Raiders. And the offense took forever to get going.
It was horrific. People can say Daniel is to blame but I don't think Mitch would've won that game either. Nagy is the prime suspect. The previous Coach of the year and now calls the same dumb plays non stop! A mediocre QB with the offense players we have should succeed. Our defense even fell flat. I dont know what to say about this except sorry England! They're die hard Bears fans

can’t think of a good name right now I think they’re gonna be even better this year! Everybody from the defense are returning except for the guys you mentioned. They have great replacement for Amos and Callahan. Clinton-Dix was a great pick up in my opinion. They also drafted those 2 safeties. They look pretty solid. Also from what I hear Chuck Pagano is a lot more aggressive than Vic. So that means we’re gonna be seeing a lot more blitzes!
Not to mention haha was teamates with jackson at alabama so they got chemistry already

Adrian Amos is a solid Safety. He doesn't miss assignments and is extremely sound in tackling. For what the Packers paid him, you need that kind of money to be for a game changing Safety which unfortunately he is not. To give you a perfect example of a play that would be game changing is in this video itself against the Patriots. Tom Brady was under a heavy rushed and heaved the ball to the flat to Develin. Amos broke the play up and it was intercepted. Now one might wonder what I am complaining about, but if you look closely at that clip, you will see that Amos saw the ball coming and instead of acting as the receiver and jumping the route, he seemed unsure what to do and defended the receiver instead of playing the ball. Had he played the ball it would have been an EASY pick six. Instead it was just an INT. This is what most Bears fans see and why it doesn't sting us a ton when we lost him especially for the money. The Pack got a solid tackling, assignment sound Safety. They just overpaid for something that can be developed in house with a good draft pick for far cheaper.
Maurice Blumenberg when that play happened I was hoping Amos would jump the ball and get a pick 6, and I was so mad it didn’t happen
