Whisky.com reviews the Glendronach Portwood. In the 19th century, port was imported to the island for the Scottish nobility. Even today, the Portuguese Douro Valley is still known for its high quality port. In one of these barrels from the Douro Valley, this Glendronach single malt was matured for an unusually long three years.

Honeysuckle is a sweet smelling flower blossom. When they bloom, the air is filled with the scent down here in Florida.
If you pull out a stamen in the center of the flower and taste the base, it has a delicious sweet, honey like nectar. Very subtle and floral.
Bramble refers to a kind of rough/thorny bush, usually of the "Rubus" genus (in Rosaceae family), which has many species.
The blackberry is one of the fruits that grows on some species of Rubus. Raspberries and dewberries also grow on species of Rubus.
Always nice to see if my notes and taste are the same as what you guys are finding. Cheers.
I’ve been searching in the comment section in these videos for what health issues Horst was suffering from. Does anyone know? Either way I’m glad he’s back
I hope he is doing fine. I have noticed him looking a bit more tired and thinner in recent videos. Whatever it is, get well soon Horst!
It’s not stated in big bold numbers but I saw this bottle at my local liquor store and somewhere in the text it does says that is a 10 Years Old.
Excellent review, it helped me make my mind about buying this bottle.
There is a NAS more recent version
I just got this amazing
Honeysuckle is a flower I think, I seem to come across it every so often in a tasting note but still never figured out the smell/taste
Nice
I would love to know where you purchased your glasses.
Compared to the Quinta Ruban? I wonder...
Something strange has happened to Mr. Horst's eyes, I noticed it some time ago, so if it's not cataract conjunctiva surgery or liver problems, it could mean not so good things.
How does it compare with the 18 portwood?
What is that brown Glendronach tube on the shelf (fourth from the left)? I don't recognize that one. Maybe it's not made anymore. It's not the 12, 15, 18, 21 o Port Wood.
Glendronach traditionally peated
Bramble these days refers to the plant, I read somewhere this is derived from Germanic origins (Brom... Bram... so close ;) )
Daumen hoch für euer English
The old 21s have some older juice like 25 years in them the new batch is actually 21.
No difference in brambles, it refers to any bush that grows blackberries, raspberries and such. Cheers!
I think it’s young. Very oaky indeed, not sweet like the Quinta Ruban.
"Cherry" is pronounced with a "ch" like how you pronounce the "ch" in the word "cheers". It's not the "sh" sound like in the word "sherry".
