Now I know which brown ink to get to my new Benu Talisman Sandalwood. I have been looking at different brown inks since I got it a few days ago and Ochre was a favourite and on my wishlist but it's always nice to se a swatch to get a feel for an ink. Thank you! 😇🩷🙏🙌
I love the look of Akkerman ink bottles. They remind me of old potion bottles from Dracula's castle haha. I'm a huge sucker for blue-blacks too. Always wanted to try Salix RK
@@Blue_Rosemarie Also I don't know if you have ever tried LIFE paper from Japan, but it's one of my top papers. It shows shading, sheen, and shimmer well and it's thicker than Tomoe River is. It has an ivory or creamy look to it as well. It's not pure white like most Rhodia or Clairefontaine. For me my top papers are, Tomoe River, LIFE/ MD Paper, then Clairefontaine/Rhodia.
@@sushanart In the U.S. Jet pens has it, Atlas Stationers, The Gentleman Stationer, Anderson Pens, Yoseka, Vanness, and The Paper Mind. Hope this helps!
Yes, paper can make or break a journal for me. I was complaining the whole time when I used my first Leuchtturm journal...every ink I used bled through and some of the wetter inks feathered. I have the second leuchtturm untouched...It might end up being a work notebook where I almost always use rollerballs, the second best type of pens after fountain pens.
Interesting. I love Leuchtturm notebooks as my work planner. It wasn't working as well for my journal, but for work it is great. I mostly use diamine blue/black in a fine nib these days, but I have thrown quite some ink in it and it has handled it. Of course it will not take very wet and broad lines. But for work it has everything I need.
