Hi Everett ! You definitely deserve more subscribers and more views !! I hope you'll get it. Your videos are nice to watch, you're talented and you have an awesome mood. Please keep posting :) If it can help, I'd like to mention that the audio when you're speaking behind your computer screen and when there's music at the end (when you show your awesome picture) are a too loud compared to the audio when you speak in front of the camera. I'd recommend to adjust the balance between the two : raise one, drop the other. That's it ! Thanks again !! 😁
Wow Alexis....thanks so much for your amazingly kind words. Your comment make what I'm doing even more worthwhile. And thanks for the suggestion. I will for sure keep posting👍. Thanks for watching.
Nice Everett...Its always satisfying when you accomplish something for the first time like a meridian flip...Helps when you got a Good mount, a Great Scope and Good software....I still have to do a lot manually...The only EQ Mount I run in my Ioptron Skytracker Pro ...Otherwise, I'm still rolling my old Alt AZ mount with my NexStar....Im still running DSLRs for imaging also..I love my DSLRs as they are versatile both Night and Day...I do have a ZWO ASI224MC for Planetary ...though I have captured DSOs with it and adapted it to work with my Lenses..And I have a ton..Gotten some good images out of that little camera..I'm also learning....LOL ..We're always Learning....I pray for your continued success...Looks like we're both finding our groove....Clear Skies Everett...
Thanks bud. I have a star adventure for my DSLR and kit lenses. I really like that little thing. It's a great workhorse. And I wish you continue success on your Astro journey as well.
Great video……. I subbed to the channel. Since I’ve got the same mount and a “budget” scope. Haven’t taken my first light yet but it’ll be right around the corner. Unfortunately I messed up my DSLR. Love the way the mount sounds. Much cooler than gear driven.
Hello Everett I'm new to the channel and this mount has caught my eye, I have a few questions for you if you wouldn't mind answering them for me. 1 How do you power the mount? I believe that it comes with a battery pack unit but I don't want to spend a ton of money on batteries. 2 How do you recommend controlling the mount? like guiding and so forth. 3 how important is the azimuth adapter?(because I am on a budget for Christmas)
Hello and thank you for subscribing to the channel. I'll try and answer your questions the best I can. Your first question. I power the mount with the battery that came with it. I got it as a deal where they were having a sale for the mount, the battery and the alt azmuth adapter. I control it by using Nina, but I have a friend that has the exact same amount and he uses an ASI air and it works beautifully with that as well. Third the alt. Athmuth adapter is very important, especially if you want to do long exposure. Astrophotography.
Thanks for your comment and feedback. Looking at getting a mic for better sound. It's a great mount and will be doing a review on it in the near future. I'm glad you like my pics 👍.
The way I polar align is I use the software program Nina and it's three star polar alignment. It has a polar hole but it's smaller than a penny. You would probably have to get the side mounted polar scope that explore scientific sells. But with this amount I would recommend polar lining with either sharp cap or Nina.
Got it. Thanks. One more question. Can we track any objects without using guide scope with this mount ? I have the same mount and just want to get started with astrophotography with a real simple setup (tracking using only the mount). And if it is possible what software do you recomend me to use for tracking ? Thanks
I use Nina for telescope control. Are you using the WiFi control....if so I'm not sure how that works. But I have seen videos that explain how it works
I'm glad you like the content. I agree about the sound. Next purchase is a wired mic. I have a Bluetooth one but it doesn't work that good. Sounds like I'm talking into a toilet bowl 😂.

@@AstroEverett is there any chance that you have the name of the battery that came with it as part of the deal ?
It's the Explorer scientific usb power bank with flashlight rechargeable lithium ion battery at 8300 milliamps
@@AstroEverett thank you, I appreciate it highly. Clear skies!
No problem....you as well.
considering buying that mount, like your videos but the sound level is up and down 🙂 great picture.

Great video!!
Can you make a video on how to polar align with this mount? There are no instructions(videos) on how to polar align with this mount.

Yes you can. The guide scope is for long exposure astrophotography. 2 min and longer exposures.
@@AstroEverett And what software you use for pointing the mount ?
I use both Stellarium and Nina
Nice Photo evertt!
Thanks bro 👍
I need help with guiding with the PMC8
