this is helping me get my head around trying to do NXDN and airband scanning on one device. thanks 5 years later and your helping still! very well explained i'd say
@@digitalanaloguehamradio yeah I’m seeing that. I’ll have to work my way through them all, and maybe one day if I have all of it up and running I’ll make a video and tag you!!!
Thanks for your direction Matey.off to North Wales for the week and even though I bought a 2nd User 125 "Packed with Frequecies" it hasn`t got Low Level Common programmed in for the Mach Loop. This vid was brill 👍
@Dave. Hello my friend, I am a complete Newbie to scanning. I live in Eastbourne and I am a photo journalist and wanted something I could hear the local RNLI and Coastguard. I have been watching your videos and have learnt a lot. One question I would like to ask. When I look up different frequencies to add from say a spread sheet, sometimes you get 2. So do you just put the 1st one in or both? I hope that makes sense. Any help and advice I would be hugely grateful of. Best wishes. Sy
Hello quick question, I recently got my scanner and was wondering if the antenna just twists off, it’s on quite good and I don’t want to break anything getting it off👍🏻
Nice video man . Just little question. Like if i want to hear just a couple channels on a certain place do i have to temporarily lock out all other channels on that bank ? 😅
Scrappy Cat I am not certain because I don’t have the American version but I would guess they have slightly different band plan to block certain things and different step rates for different regions
@@digitalanaloguehamradio Thanks. I didn't think about the bands being different. The functionality of the controls seems to be the same. Great video BTW.
When I look at frequencies online, next to the frequency there will say "AAR CHL98" as an example. When you enter the frequency manually, does it have to be on that specific channel or can you just randomly pick a channel to enter the frequency on?
Hello I was wondering if this scanner can reach as far as the US. I live in Essex and trying to hear communication from Lacklan AFB San antonio. Would this work?
This may seem like a really daft question, but when you press scan it scans the entire bank which is potentially 50 imputed frequencies. How do you scan just one single frequency?
Hi thank you for your Video found out so much, as I have just got this scanner. But can you tell me or show How you can program the frequency , like 121.705 and 118.505 which our Heathrow's Ground / Tower it just goes to 121.700 or 118.500

Awesome Max. There are quite a few videos in the series. search my channel and the name of the scanner to bring them up.

Fantastic, I’m glad it was helpful. Let me know how you get on if you pick anything up. Thx

Using just the radio, you would put one in at a time as shown in the video. Thanks

Yes it just twist off. Hold the metal part at the bottom and twist.
Digital Analogue Ham thank you and thanks for your videos👍🏻👍🏻

Could you be more precise I don’t know what you mean my friend
@@digitalanaloguehamradio already found it out thanks for answer ✅
hey buddy. tks for the video.:) can you tell us if its works with airband? regards
Yes it will both 108 to 136 am and 225 to 400 am
Can I use the Uniden UBC125XLT to scan for the ISS. Or do I need a special type of Radio/Scanner?
Absolutely perfect for space station.
why does my airband reception go in and out of audio does any one know
What are the differences between the UBC125XLT and the BC125AT sold here in the United States?
Scrappy Cat I am not certain because I don’t have the American version but I would guess they have slightly different band plan to block certain things and different step rates for different regions
@@digitalanaloguehamradio Thanks. I didn't think about the bands being different. The functionality of the controls seems to be the same.

BC125AT doesnt cover 800 Mhz band

It can go in any channel. The important part is the frequency you enter. You don’t even need to give it a name.
@@digitalanaloguehamradio Thanks!
You have something on the BC235XLT
No sorry Jimme
Hello I was wondering if this scanner can reach as far as the US. I live in Essex and trying to hear communication from Lacklan AFB San antonio. Would this work?
VHF UHF line of sight you can sometimes receive 200 miles.but not 1000s
will this scan and save the legal FM UK CB CHANNELS PLEASE.
Yes, perfect for Cb AM and FM scanning uk or anywhere
This may seem like a really daft question, but when you press scan it scans the entire bank which is potentially 50 imputed frequencies. How do you scan just one single frequency?
They would serve no purpose to scam just a single channel. Instead you would press hold when on the channel you want to listen to
@@digitalanaloguehamradiook thanks
Ive liked and subscribed, how do i unlock channels i seem to have locked everything, keypads unlocked.
Does is do SSB for AM?
nice video but when i do it does nothing how close to the airport do i have to be?
Mine is picking up half the country but iv got a discone table top antenna from Moonraker and a pre amp.
@@Dr.Gunsmith 26 miles at least? (Live that far away)
