I have one of these EVH done by Judah Guitars outside of Nashville. Everything works on mine, came with the bridge screws, even the truck reflectors on the back too. It's like a wood tuning fork just like he said... mean sustain with that bridge pickup screwed right into the body.
Play Loud!
It should not be a Floyd Rose special but a EVH branded Floyd Rose which I think is better than the special. Also, it should have come with the screws to eliminate the D tuna.
I get you there, not a fan of the D-Tuna either as it is not working with my string gauge haha 🤘
The D-tuna can be adjusted. I own a Wolfgang set up with 0.11s, and mine works perfectly. There’s a very small hex wrench that comes with it for adjustment. Also, in order for the D-tuna to function properly, the tremolo must be “decked” against the body ie not “floating”. Hope this helps.
The problem is not the 0,11, its the 0.56. The trem was against the body as well. I tried everything and even went on multiple forums. Nothing worked
@@jimsgarage4937 Hmm… Maybe if you compromised just a little bit and tried something like a standard set of Ernie Ball Power Slinky 11-48s it might solve the problem(?)
@@stevesmulski1462 have you ever tried to play drop C with 11-56 ? 🤣 Kinda slinky
@@jimsgarage4937 Dude - You’re gonna have tuning/intonation problems if you’re going that low whatever you do…
@@stevesmulski1462 not if its adjusted properly. All lf my guitars are setted in Drop C and I have no intonation problem. But if you are talking specificaly about the D tuna yes it wont be intonated properly
out of the factory the striped series doesn't come with the quarter coin or the strap hooks, is this a special edition?
I added them to the guitar, bought the penny on Ebay and the hooks too
Garbage? Well, If that is garbage, I want it !
BTW on your version, I think they forgot to include that "sticky-wax-glue" on the middle "switch" which Eddie used on his.
CONGRATS on your new guitar, I have an EVH-Wolfgang Special (Stealth black) but will be buying one of these this year too.
I can tell you it is definitely not haha !
@@jimsgarage4937 NEVER (garbage), NEVER! Do not forget.... It is meant to be played (ALOT), NOT to be hanged up
on a wall , like some people do just to show it off.
Lol. Cool and funny video. Been an EVH fan since 1978.
Thanks a lots man ! I love EVH too 🤘
Belles jeans 😊 et Nice guitare 🎸 Tu as du talent !
You don't have to worry about dinging the guitar or scratching it. I think they should offer this guitar in brand new condition too.
They do ! Haha !
Add a spring and add more tension by screwing the spring claw in more. That should make it to where you can use the dtuna
The bridge is sitting on the body, adding a spring wont really help. I tried everything man haha ! I am done trying. But thanks for the reply 🔥🤘
@@jimsgarage4937 I know it may be sitting on the wood. But when you have heavier strings vs say 9-42 whenever you engage the dtuna the heavier strings has more tension on the scale length and pulls it more. I’ve fixed many by doing this. Sorry you’re having issues. But if you like the guitar I would definitely try it
You may also try setting it with the fine tuner more open (or "detuned") When the Dtuna sits in ("standard tuning") it's sitting underneath the fine tuner. I've noticed sometimes if I have the fine tuner in the middle or lower position ("tuned up) I can't use the Dtuna properly. Make some more room for it to fit, and you might be able to use it.
Isn't that a quarter coin? Beautiful guitar and great playing!
Yes it is ! Thanks a lot ❤️
Definitely not garbage Bro. The Frankie is not meant for what you really need it for. It's an affordable copy of Eddie's Frankenstrat and plays great (with Dtuna), with 9-42 strings on it. You can still gig with it. Do you have more than one guitar? I always have a couple guitars in drop d and others in standard tuning. Sound great man! 👍
Its just a click bait title my man. This guitar is awesome. I own 7 guitars and I trade a lot. 🤘🔥
Write dumb titles expect stupid comments....@jimsgarage4937
Dude…I use 9’s and I can’t get the d-tuna to work on my Wolfgang …I took it off and thru it in the case😩
😂 I get you there buddy! Normaly there is a screw to adjust the drop to the good tuning. But I heard a lot of pople had problems with the D-Tuna 😅
6:55 would be good for my jogging and skipping rope exercises ... Want it!
Thanks man ! Really appreciated 🤘🔥
Damage?
It‘s a Wolfgang Pickup
Hey ! Thanks for watching, you are right my bad, I was sure it was a frankie pickup. I will make sure not to do the same mistake in my future videos. Cheers mate 🤘🔥
Do you want to sell it?
Already did my friend !
Not many people know it's not the guitar it's the equipment it's hooked up to.
Wrong. It's in the hands. Been a tech long enough to know for a fact.
Just change the gauge of your E string
Good idea but I play 11-56 i wont merge a 46 with super thick strings man, I like confort haha 🤘 cheers
"Penny Coin"..... smh
I am glad you enjoyed the video man !
Whining about the d tuna!? You are using the wrong strings. You said it yourself. The whole point to this guitar and the features that it has is that it's for sounding like Ed. Not metal. Give it the strings that are ment for it and it will work!😂
I know pal, I was just hoping that it would work with any string gauge. Nothing was mentionning that this was made for 9-46/10-46 and nobody talk about that. I had to go throught good researches trying to make it work to simply find out it was due to my string gauge being too thick.
🙄
Definitely garbage
I like your scarcasm 🤣🤘
@@jimsgarage4937 very expensive garbage. Lol
