I Have a Custom made ESP from 48th St custom in Manhattan from 24 yrs ago? Thereabouts but I had it made to look like that See-thru Orange quilted maple GL played on his instructional video except I went with a black reversed Kamakazi headstock much like this guys and had the block shaved and tapered where the neck bolts on (they did a great job with that btw)and went with a simple 3 way switch.A Screamin Demon GL bridge pickup which is more "Sassy" than overly distorted and a single coil neck pickup,Floyd etc. It's gorgeous but he's right its big almost like the frets are further apart or strings are further apart which i know can't be true but I'm Def faster on my used 300$ Ibanez and my ibanez jem than my 2400$ Esp.I can't put my finger on it but its prob the pickups where i have to play clean n precise and can hear my mistakes which tbh is good thing, I love it, while the Ibanez hides more mistakes as the pickups are more sensative and dirty and i can also pick faster when i do try to shred but that could be the string tension as pick almost gets hung up in strings but after about an hour I get used to it while the Ibanez plays like butter and has a hotter more distorted signal to hide more mistakes is the best way to describe it but I wouldn't sell it for the world as there's sentimental attachments and story both sad and good times in my life. Great video for sure as a GL fan since Breaking the chains album

Is the guitar heavy solid weight

I would say it's a medium weight. Not light, not heavy. Great weight to be honest.
