I was asked in another video to make the firepit in the background of the video, so here it is! I hope everyone finds it useful. I normally like making a firepit or meeting point in the center of my villages and it really helped in this game which makes me pretty happy to share this. I hope you enjoyed the video, and thank you for watching!
Very nice! I was hoping someone would release video builds for soulmask and it seems you're the only one! Can you make a large base concept with farmlands, and most of the benches, for a group?
my next build I plan on making a larger build with a tiny bit of a defensive wall. and yeah, im surprised that non of the other builders have jumped on this, the material textures are simple but honestly the ability to make a village / base with life / people moving around it and using it is so appealing to me. Edit: There will be space for farmland as well :D
Thanks to you, I was able to build my house, and I also like this way of building the bonfire. I prefer it apart, because firelight hurts my eyes. Can you tell me if you also build houses in the Japanese style? Thank you very much.
You're welcome! I tend to like the bonfire away from my main house as well, for me it is mostly just It feels odd to have a giant fire so close. and I think I could simulate some of the shapes of Japanese houses, but the other design elements such as shoji walls (the white paper windows and sliding doors) make up a large part of the look, so unless it was something like a pagoda it wouldn't really show too well. That being said, Iv been kinda out of idea's lately, so this sounds like a fun project, I'll give it a try :D
How did you get the first floor tile to place? It won't for me saying there's no building for it to attach to and if I use a foundation block first, then connect floor pieces around then when you get to the side opposite of it a stair won't attach to that floor tile for the same reason. It will for all the other pieces, just not the one completely opposite of the foundation floor. Been trying for two days to get this build to work and it won't since I can't start with a floor piece.
ah, I started with a foundation and kept going around with foundations, sorry for the confusion I make building videos on a lot of different games so I often use the word floor tile to describe any tile that attaches to the floor. My bad, use foundations instead. sorry for the confusion.
@@ZerosterGuides I figured you did, just once I get to the side opposite of the foundation floor I can't seem to place a stair onto that floor, says there's no "building" to attach it lol
@@corporateturtle6005 yeah, the snapping isn't really the best, and the shape veriaty is limited. while I like the tribe system because the buildings feel lively with npcs, the building could be better.

Thank you! Looks great! After seeing it in the background of the last 2 videos was really looking forward to making my own.
I am not the greatest at base building. I saw this and loved it. Will be adding to my base!
The shape of this is perfect since if you build on uneven ground you can fill the center where the bonfire is with triangle foundations.

@@corporateturtle6005 not entirely sure why, Im still learning the building system in this game myself, so I cant say why it might be happening.
@@ZerosterGuides alright thanks anyways 😆
The building in this game is awful. Nowhere near as smooth as Valheim sadly 😥

Please update more Soulmask
This looks great! How do I rotate the roof parts? I did not figure this out yet 🥲
press the "F" button, the game labeled it as "switch absorption focus" which confused me at first.
@@ZerosterGuides thx!
