A rather short mission, though the dogfight in the second half is pretty good.
The AI is really passive in this mission, which makes it really exploitable in free mission when you want to get an A ranking (and you pretty much have to in order to get it). The random mook planes that chase you will generally not bother to engage you in DFM after the first time and are instead content to just shoot missiles at you occasionally. The best way to get an A rank is to just decelerate to just above stall speed and weave back and forth and the planes that are chasing you will shoot in front of you and you can shoot them to your hearts content while they don't even bother dodging.
Illich has a rather annoying tendency to make you fly into the water and kill yourself during DFM. In this video you see he actually flies under the water and the game tries to make you follow which results in your death. I wish I could say this was rare but it happens surprisingly frequently. The other thing that tends to happen sometimes is he pulls a hard turn near the water which breaks you out of DFM while you're going straight down. This gets you killed too but it's much less annoying than the flying under the water thing at least.

The PAK-FA is the prototype version of the Su-57 at the time of this games release the aircraft hadn't entered service yet.

I guess aircrafts in this game likes to brake physics a lot. It happened to mee too.
