I preordered one, the xxx is 3600 after shipping and taxes. This has free shipping so there is at least a 400 dollar difference. Not to mention this bike has reverse.
Shipping isn't free unfortunately. I was talking to a rep that said the $2,999 price doesn't include shipping. I'm on the fence of it I should get this or a Surron from Alibaba. The cost is likely similar, but I wouldn't have to go through the headache of buying the Surron overseas while having to wait 2 months for it. The Mantis X is also 72V.

The problem with these new bikes is that there are absolutely no aftermarket parts.

Too expensive
While I'm always glad for more competition I just don't see why anyone would get this over the Talaria triple x. For just barely any more you get a 33% larger battery, 14lbs lighter, same power and top speed, proven bike company and platform with a lot of aftermarket parts. Also looks more like a bicycle and not a motorcycle (personally can't stand how the rawr's look). Unless you really plan to do offroading, but then the MX3 and Surron are just slightly more and will do a lot better as well
Good points, but the top speed of the Mantis X 53 compared to 47 of the Talaria XXX. While that''s not a whole lot, it's going to cost significantly more to get the XXX to that point. Rawrr also claims that this bike will get 62 miles in eco mode, while the XXX claims 50. I'm not a huge fan of how the Rawrrs look either, but I'm even less of a fan of the look of the XXX. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. The one thing I'm really not a fan of is the name "Rawrr." Makes me feel like a child saying it haha.
Who cares about the noise! You're riding a bike! It's supposed to make noise! Ebikes are supposed to be zero to very little maintenance 🙄 no sense having a "gearbox" that's whack!
I was going to order the talaria xxx when I could afford it but with shipping it is nearly 4000 dollars, this is free shipping at 3000 dollars, while this may not be modable with ease i still find it possible to fab stuff up on your own on top of this being so cheap, you save a lot of money. I still want to consider the talaria as I can still mod it better and easier since I have no idea what I am doing but the price point to save nearly 1000 dollars and being somewhat fine with the pricepoint, I find it fair enough...
What do you guys things, will this be a good first emoto/ebike to get into? During school time i have to commute a total round trip of about 20 miles, I want it mostly for riding around my town for fun and get to the main part of town too... It would be nice to afford the eride pro ss but that is way out of what I can afford right now, and the surron is also very expensive and to upgrade it is super duper expensive, would it be more worth it to save extra to get the talaria so I have more battery life and better modability, or keep it simple and buy the rawr mantis x to save a couple bucks but loose the ease of modding?
I think this will be fine. I understand the mod ability of the xxx and that’s cool but remember mods for performance aren’t cheap. If that’s the case go with the pro ss and save money instead of all the expensive mods. If this is your first e-bike it will be more then enough for awhile. Day and night difference from these and regular 1000 watt e-bikes. I will say you find these specs in any other bike at this price.

@@derpyyume The company is legit, they made 2 bikes before. I think the price is low because they know if it was higher then people would buy a xxx or talaria mx3. I’d assume if this bike does well the price will go up. If this bike outperforms the xxx off-road then they will definitely raise the price. They’re probably making very little profit in order to get into this to market, right now only talaria has the lower budget emoto market. When the xxx was brought to the market it was only 3000 plus tax, now it’s 3150 plus tax and shipping. Things I like about this bike, the battery is interchangeable with the other mantis bike, it has reverse, and has an app to adjust riding style.
Shipping is not free unfortunately. I'm guessing it's going to be around the same as the regular Mantis, which is $300.
That is weird, I swear up and down it said free shipping when I put my preorder in. It said something like preorder now and shipping is free. Maybe it was a limited time. I’m going to ask them.

its a buy man 72 volt or more is where its at more effecient with larger wheels if the talaria XXX was larger wheel base i would buy but my money on the RAWR MANTIS just waiting for you to give me the go compared to the TALARIA XXX
after riding the mantis i can firmly say that everything about it is worse than even the surron, the seat brakes suspension, i dont see more power making this a better bike
Got a Caofen f80 2 weeks ago and it’s a monster,95kmh top speed whit life-po4 battery that charge in 2 hours,put mirrors,lights and flashers and I’m riding in the street and the cops just don’t bother whit me.follow the speed limit and be safe!

with the seat going over the battery compartment , you cant upgrade the battery ... and you can mod the seat height thodd engine geometry may hamper modding the motor ..
if you seriously want to compete with a sur ron ....you havta to be " moddable "

Surrons are too small for me. I'm not too sure about the future of these kinds of bikes on public streets.
I don’t know for sure because I never seen or touched a surron in persons before so I don’t know how big it is but I do have an eride pro and it’s huge it feels bigger than a surron even tho I never seen one before I’m just guessing that it is you should check one out.
@@EmotoModsAndMore A lot of kids in my town have Surrons. They are dinky. I won't be buying this sort of bike. I'd rather have something that looks like a bicycle, under the radar.

Prices for lithium batteries should have been dropping over the last 3 yrs as demand has finally been caught up but now there's
a lithium battery manufacturer in S.Korea that has burned to the ground.... go figure? China had the battery markets w/ 4-5 of
the largest manufacturers of batteries but they've gone into cut-throat antics & for the 1st time they aren't working 24-7 work
shifts b/c they've caught up w/ back orders. I've been anxiously awaiting this period but now a plant goes up in flames.....
How predictable was that? Anyhoo, let's hope they start getting competitive w/ prices since the most expensive part of
a bike ought to be coming down in price? Should've been fairly cheap the whole time especially after Afghanistan War.
Lithium mining there was either the 1st or 2nd in the world so since we were there, we should have been getting part
of the spoils but our Gov let all the poppy fields grow & let the lithium mines go..... it's bass ackwards
US will soon be increasing tariffs on lithium batteries by 25%. That will come out of your pocketbook, of course
I don't guess anything would surprise me.... when we went into Afghanistan there was talk about taking these mining
areas, Lithium. As the years went on the US Gov I guess allowed others to gain control & we didn't even stop all the
poppy(heroin) fields from being grown.... now we've got serious heroin issues & a lot is from the place we were at.

A chain is fine, belt is better. I'd only get this if I knew I could upgrade it, I got a surron initially over anything else because of the customization and the weight. I no longer have the surron and so if I were to get another bike I'd consider the Sting R due to it being a bit larger/faster but still moddable. Or I would get an Eride hands down. Whats obviously compelling about the mantis x is clearly the price for what you get. I would definitely get this over the talaria xxx handsdown. This is the clear winner if you want a fast affordable compact bike in stock form. The longevity and viability however comes down to upgrades and the brand itself. Rawrr seems like a solid company. I'd like to see them do well, we will have to see about the drive train.

I’ve got to be honest… loved this when it was an Ebike channel. I’ve got lots of them and they replace our car. Last six months are just electric motorcycles. Ebikes are great and their own category….. electric motorcycles have not come close to performance of the gas equivalent. Seems dumb to buy something for 5-6 grand when for 2500 bucks you get basically unlimited range and speed. Stick to e-bikes it’s way more interesting than over priced dirt bikes
