Girl!!! Eating the shoes....nope, can't say I did that. Remember wax gum. Maybe chewing on the shoes was sort of like chewing on wax gum. Barbie was the "end all" for me. I could play for hours upon hours. My first memory is of being sick when I was about 3 and my mom getting me a "Barbie Doll" to keep me company on the couch. It was love at first sight. That also began my mom's tradition of buying us things to play with when we got sick (Barbie's, Colorforms, Paper Dolls, Coloring Books). I actually didn't mind when I had the flu cause my mom made it fun. Now, I am doing the whole Barbie thing with my granddaughter. She's got it all and all her toys are consuming my living room, dining room and kitchen. LOL!
I love that! MY mom would get me treats when I was sick too! So I totally remember all of the above. I am so happy you are carrying on the Barbie tradition!! So much fun! xoxo

I must say this new enhancer from Chanel might be my favorite. It didn't look greasy. That with the foundation looked great together. I cannot believe you ate Barbie's shoes. My sister, 5 years older was the Barbie kid. When she got me mad I would give our dog her Barbie's and he would ruin them.

Yes- that is a great question! So you are right - those are very similar palettes, I do find that the shimmer in Dior Cashmere is a bit more intense and buttery. THe Les Beiges palettes are always more of a soft muted look on the eyes. The Dior Cashmere is a beautiful cool toned palette that is more rich and buttery in nature. So if you prefer more natural neutral look - go with the LES BEIGES. IF you want something you can glam up a bit more- go with the Dior. I hope this helps. xoxo

That is a great question! So all three will give you a nice hydrated - brightening effect on the skin. So you don't need all three! LOL! The Chantecaille Rosy Tint is more of a gel lotion - so if you prefer that texture- get that! THe WA is more of a thin serum texture -I just love those and definitely the most glowy of the bunch. THE Chanel no. 1 are the most subtle imo- and great foundation/serum texture. I would think about what texture you like and what GLOW factor you enjoy. I hope this helps. xoxo

SF humidity, so i will do that in SF fall like late September, October. I was going to use new Chanel le blanc collection, to recreate that look. Now question how would you compare new skin enhancer in pink with Le blanc rosy drops and also Chantecaille pink tint? I have them both, so i dont think i need this new one🤔 love Chanel balm sticks. Dont have this one, but i have in Or , and also 2 more, one from Le blanc pearl collection, and another similar. Love Chanel new bronzer. Have that one. And love new Surratt bronzer in clair. So skipping Hermes one, for now. But very excited to get some more things from Surratt, for monochromatic look. I guess i got influenced, in that quiet luxury train😳🤪😂 , but i dont think its too bad, at least i invested, in neutral and classic fashion, so i could wear for years, and not get bored. Because these days, resale websites are quite dead, its hard to sell anything, even Chanel pieces, so one have to be mindful what is purchasing these days😳😂 Such a beautiful story, about your barbie world memories🤣 you cant blame your mommy, those days no one had a habit, run to ER…. 🤪 So i did not grew up with Barbies, i grew up, in Eastern Europe, under socialism/ communism occupation😔 but we did had german dolls😜 so we were fine. Thank you for the update!! As far as a comparison to the Le Blanc drops- that is one that I don't have but I think they will TOTALLY work. The difference between the Chantecaille Rosy Tint is that it is based in a beautiful gel based lotion versus the new Skin Enhancer that feels like a foundation/serum. Both will give you a nice brightening glow on the skin. I think the new Chanel is very subtle - lit from within- look! I hope this helps. xoxo
I LOVED playing with my Barbie's back in the day. My favorite thing to do as a youngster. Had all kinds of accessories and yes, I didn't eat the shoes but I certainly chewed on them, lol. Owing up I had Barbie. My younger sister had Skipper and Midge. I never ate my Barbie shoes. My fave Barbie memory was the clothes my mother made for my Barbie. She was very handy with a seeing machine.
YAY! The CCD days were so funny! All the kids loved it when my mom was the carpool driver because she always took us to Dairy Queen afterwards. LOL! I think she got a few more takers on that week. AND yep- lots of fun childhood memories from Barbies. xoxo
This look is so beautiful on you, Abby! I’m not as successful with the Chanel makeup. The Sublimage Eye concealer is so dry on me even though I tried to mix it with some of the pearly glow illuminating thing. The rose initial blush is nice but it doesn’t look as nice on me as the Tom Ford or Sisley blush. The Healthy Glow Les Beiges powder is so dry upon swatching I ended up not buying it. I couldn’t believe how dry my under eye is. It’s so disappointing. The Sisley concealer is good under my eyes though. Even the Natasha Denona Hy Glam concealer that I hate looks better on me than the Chanel Sublimage Eye concealer. Do you have any tips to make it work? Thanks
Oh wow! I am so sorry the Sublimage doesn't work for you. I find it quite hydrating for my under eyes. I would say - to add an extra layer of eye cream or eye serum before using the concealer if you find it drying. I hope this helps. xoxo

That Barbie was a Barbie with a horse complete, Abby i was over the moon when i earned that one!😍Than the Barbie love, and all their clothes got out of control, we're in the beach house now, but i still have i think 1 or 2 at our main house, where i can store much more. That story about car driving, yes it was totally normal in that time, no seat belts in the back of the car, here in The Netherlands as well. Yep! I think she probably put baby oil on here skin to bake. LOL! The SOFT PINK is not detectable - more of a brightening effect. I like it because it sort of color corrects my skin. I need to do a bit more analysis and see if I like this one better than the Pearly Glow drops. I will keep you posted. xoxo

THE Chanel no. 1 are the most subtle imo- and great foundation/serum texture. I would think about what texture you like and what GLOW factor you enjoy. I hope this helps. xoxo

Hi Abbie its a beautiful Barbie look. I was also into Barbie look,this year, i even purchased a dress for that😂 but Spring was hectic, wasnt able to wear, and right now its way too hot. SF humidity, so i will do that in SF fall like late September, October. I was going to use new Chanel le blanc collection, to recreate that look. Now question how would you compare new skin enhancer in pink with Le blanc rosy drops and also Chantecaille pink tint? I have them both, so i dont think i need this new one🤔 love Chanel balm sticks. Dont have this one, but i have in Or , and also 2 more, one from Le blanc pearl collection, and another similar. Love Chanel new bronzer. Have that one. And love new Surratt bronzer in clair. So skipping Hermes one, for now. But very excited to get some more things from Surratt, for monochromatic look. I guess i got influenced, in that quiet luxury train😳🤪😂 , but i dont think its too bad, at least i invested, in neutral and classic fashion, so i could wear for years, and not get bored. Because these days, resale websites are quite dead, its hard to sell anything, even Chanel pieces, so one have to be mindful what is purchasing these days😳😂 Such a beautiful story, about your barbie world memories🤣 you cant blame your mommy, those days no one had a habit, run to ER…. 🤪 So i did not grew up with Barbies, i grew up, in Eastern Europe, under socialism/ communism occupation😔 but we did had german dolls😜 so we were fine. Thank you for the update!! As far as a comparison to the Le Blanc drops- that is one that I don't have but I think they will TOTALLY work. The difference between the Chantecaille Rosy Tint is that it is based in a beautiful gel based lotion versus the new Skin Enhancer that feels like a foundation/serum. Both will give you a nice brightening glow on the skin. I think the new Chanel is very subtle - lit from within- look! I hope this helps. xoxo
I LOVED playing with my Barbie's back in the day. My favorite thing to do as a youngster. Had all kinds of accessories and yes, I didn't eat the shoes but I certainly chewed on them, lol.

So glad that it’s a fun memory despite the broken arm 😊 I remember having a Cher inspired ‘Barbie’ as a child and my best friend talked me in to cutting her hair which was a huge mistake. We laughed about that misguided early styling mishap for years!

Loved the way you lined your eyes with the powder shadow from the palette. Very soft and pretty, but still added definition. Would love to know which brush you used. I'm pretty sure you didn't list it. I'm always looking for brushes to use with eyeshadow to use as liner. P.S. Your looks are always so tasteful and elegant :)

Owing up I had Barbie. My younger sister had Skipper and Midge. I never ate my Barbie shoes. My fave Barbie memory was the clothes my mother made for my Barbie. She was very handy with a seeing machine.

YAY! The CCD days were so funny! All the kids loved it when my mom was the carpool driver because she always took us to Dairy Queen afterwards. LOL! I think she got a few more takers on that week. AND yep- lots of fun childhood memories from Barbies. xoxo
This look is so beautiful on you, Abby! I’m not as successful with the Chanel makeup. The Sublimage Eye concealer is so dry on me even though I tried to mix it with some of the pearly glow illuminating thing. The rose initial blush is nice but it doesn’t look as nice on me as the Tom Ford or Sisley blush. The Healthy Glow Les Beiges powder is so dry upon swatching I ended up not buying it. I couldn’t believe how dry my under eye is. It’s so disappointing. The Sisley concealer is good under my eyes though. Even the Natasha Denona Hy Glam concealer that I hate looks better on me than the Chanel Sublimage Eye concealer. Do you have any tips to make it work? Thanks
Oh wow! I am so sorry the Sublimage doesn't work for you. I find it quite hydrating for my under eyes. I would say - to add an extra layer of eye cream or eye serum before using the concealer if you find it drying. I hope this helps. xoxo

@@AbbyBlissWhite I was able to return the concealer and exchange it for other Chanel products that you and Allison Chase recommended: the bronzing cream, the lip pencil in Pivone and the lip to cheek cream. I’m trying the darkest bronzer because I want to use it as a contour. On the lightest CDP foundation, I’m going to try the darkest bronzer..Wish me luck!!

That Barbie was a Barbie with a horse complete, Abby i was over the moon when i earned that one!😍Than the Barbie love, and all their clothes got out of control, we're in the beach house now, but i still have i think 1 or 2 at our main house, where i can store much more. That story about car driving, yes it was totally normal in that time, no seat belts in the back of the car, here in The Netherlands as well. Yep! I think she probably put baby oil on here skin to bake. LOL! The SOFT PINK is not detectable - more of a brightening effect. I like it because it sort of color corrects my skin. I need to do a bit more analysis and see if I like this one better than the Pearly Glow drops. I will keep you posted. xoxo
