Thank you MLB for bringing baseball back to London again. Yesterday was my first ever live baseball game and it was everything I hoped for and more. Thank you to the awesome baseball community and to the Cubs and the Cards for embracing this event so openly. Much love to both franchises and here's to baseball coming back to London next year. An incredible experience ❤
Trey Mancini is brutal at first base. He has hands of stone. His error cost the Cubs the game. Also, on Swanson's throwing error in the first it should have been an error on Mancini. He dropped the throw even though it was low. I saw Mancini apologize to Swanson for not making the play when they came off the field. I wonder if the Yankees would take Mancini and no-hit Seiya Suzuki in exchange to get Anthony Rizzo back?
I’ve just got home after a wonderful, (yet VERY expensive) weekend. Thank you to the Cardinals and Cubs for coming over and playing these games for us. Glad the Red Birds got something out of the weekend after the spanking they got on Saturday evening. My feedback for MLB though is that if the purpose of the London Series is to spread the word of Baseball internationally, then you need to entice people to the ball park with lower prices. £7.20 for a pint of beer is insane, £11.50 for a Hot Dog is even worse. High prices will only stop new people from coming and could drive the established fans away. I used to think that MLB stood for ‘Major League Baseball’ after this weekend, it now means ‘Most Likely Bankrupt’. 😂😂
We’ve been dealing with these prices for years. Love the game but these executives need to understand that tickets are meant to make the money, not food and beer.
What percentage of the fans were actually British and what percentage were either expatriate Americans or Cubs and Cardinals fans that travelled to London for the game?
I find that view at 3:16 is interesting because of that “arch” in the background (it’s actually the ArcelorMittal Orbit). It makes this look a little more like a Cardinals home game because it looks like the St. Louis Arch that you can see by Busch Stadium.
Heyyyyyyyy! Was great to see MLB back again this year. Missed it last year ☹ but made sure I got tickets as soon as they came out 😁 At the level which most of us in the UK see MLB, no game is a bad game. We are still watching blummin good baseball which is at the high level, and it's here in the UK. 😎 I completely understand the comments from passionate fans with responses to elements of the game play, that's expected and the same in any sport. I was supporting the Cardinals…why? Well, I was deep into it back in the late 90s (when we had coverage on channel 5 until they pulled it (poo heads!💔)) and witnessed the Great Home Run Chase of 98 and was well pleased to see they were coming over. With limited coverage we got a good mix of teams and games to watch and across all teams, there were players who just stood out. I travelled down (with a friend) and watch the Saturday game and yeh….spanked!...like ouch! However, it was great to hear they won Sunday. But you know what! It was great to see and speak to so many Americans who were there Saturday. As a Roller Skater (Quad) I frequently travel to skate around London so decided to skate 9 miles to the game. I stood out a little because I was wearing my MacDonald tartan Kilt and carrying my Roller skates. To my surprise this started many conversations (and lots of photos!). Everyone I spoke to (Cardinal and Cubs fans) were just fantastic! and if any of the ones I had photos taken with or had a good ole chinwag with see this message…thank you! You all made the day even better. Great bunch of people great bunch of supporters. 👏 So, now my plan (which has been on my bucket list for a while) is to travel across the pond to Busch Stadium, catch a few games and explore the city ( on skates obviously) Cheers everyone… IG @just_skate_uk)

It was the opposite of yesterday, with the Cardinals winning and splitting the London series.🇬🇧 Baseball has not taken root in this area, but we were happy to see them enjoy the game.👏👏👏
Well done to both Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals for this London series. :) Next year, hopefully the two NL West rivals San Francisco Giants and LA Dodgers will play in the London series!
Once again the pitching got us in a hole at 4-0 in the 1st inning but thankfully our hitting was up to the test, but we still need pitching desperately.
What a great comeback for the Cardinals! Even down 4-0 in the 1st, they never backed down! Good job by the Bullpen to halt the Chicago offense to 4 for most of the game. Great at bats today by the Cardinals to rally past and split the series! Let's go, Redbirds!

Watched some live baseball here in uk for the 1st time. Usually enjoy a few highlights here and there. Have to say I’m not a fan of the pitch clock. I imagine it was introduced because certain players took liberties with time but for me it made things just a little hurried and distracted my attention from the game. What do you purists think?
Not really a purist as I love the pitch clock but it could be slightly tweaked. The biggest thing is the pitcher only gets 1 timeout per batter. I’ve seen that pitchers are asking for at least 2 to be able to catch their breath more
Pitch clock is better for the viewer at home watching the telecast but worse for the stadium-goers. It limits the ambience and constricts the overall relaxing nature of the old-style game
