For me 1- FOS - best fit in our mid 2- Flying Viking - just a great fit for us. Get the risk but the potential is just so great 3- Langford - big body, good skills 4- Smith - not a great fit but great player Can’t see us needing to go any further than that down the big board. Even if we trade back
Yes, I liked the video. As a North supporter you are spot on about North needing more midfield depth. We lost Thomas this year which left a huge hole. LDU has not resigned yet so.. I agree, Wardlaw has not yet produced a full season and doesn’t seem to have the endurance to run out games yet. One of North’s biggest weaknesses is an overall inability to run out games. They’re a shockingly bad red time team. FOS is an endurance athlete (Sam Walsh without back issues yet). He will run out games to the end and still be a good user of the pill. If North don’t pick FOS at pick 2, then heads should roll throughout the organisation.
Get some key position players in as quick as possible. Either mature age, or trading next year, or in draft this year. Big guys take longer to mature so North need them fast tracked in the system.
@@aflenjoyers I don't know the North team too well but I hear they have elite mids coming through. They need to get some key positions in quickly as it might still take 3-4 years to establish being talls.
There are more North UA-cam content creators than there are North fans that turn up to games in Melbourne. Just sayin. Also, I beg to differ on the importance of marking players versus smaller running players. You need an effective team. And marking players are vital to an effective team. North's lack of aerial presence is a huge factor in why we have been anchored at the bottom of the ladder. This is why North are so keen on Tauru.
That first part made me chuckle ngl 😂 That's a fair arguement. With it looking less likely a beneficial trade will happen for pick 2, you prioritise best talent available. Hopefully we can trade back in to the 1st or 2nd round and pick up a Tauru, Armstrong or Faull type player

I rate it 💪

Well said Marlon 👏
The loss of Thomas can't be underestimated, FOS looks like a more than capable replacement for him

Would be nice if we could get some young key positions, hopefully not at the expense of taking FOS with pick 2
