Holy shit thank you so much! After lots of other methods, I found the initial temporary fix, but I was desperate to getting it back to normal permanently. Even did system restore… but when I found your video it worked…. I still cannot believe that it works again! After spending 3 hours on it last night it worked… Part of me is panicking that it’ll go back 😅 again but I shut down and reset multiple times last night after your fix and it still worked! Really big thanks to you, hopefully your channel is able to grow. I already liked and subscribed
For those who can't even open up the desktop to go to registry editor, hold down ctrl + alt + delete, click file, run new task and type "regedit.exe" in the open box (Make sure no caps + slept correctly).
Found this by guessing the command but I'm glad you put it here. Now I just need to figure out why the "Current Version" folder only has "TaskManager" listed. GG's
The quick fix opened explorer but my problem is it isn't a consistent thing, sometimes explorer opens sometimes it doesn't. I don't have the shell file either.

even i didn't have it but after going to "winlogon" in the empty space i right clicked and you will be getting something like "New" go to it and there will be another option called "DWORD (32 bit value)" after selecting it you will be getting another registry file or something like that with name "New value #!" rename it to shell and just follow the procedures which he had given that's it....hope this helps ya =)

Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page.” for any app. Then what’s the problem?? How can I fix it??
you can just wait for it to load or fix it self if you want to use it without explorer and still waiting press "ctrl + alt + del" click task manager. right click on any running things. click open file location. then exit task manager. on the file manager click desktop on the right. and you can open any apps you can on your desktop. ( tell me if it helps you wait :D )

I have to click on it and I see something running and I can choice firefox or chrome etc but all folders are closed. I did many method ans problem is not solved.

Thx when I was uninstalling classic shell it closed explorer.exe and never reopened after the deletion tysm for saving my Alienware!

My window was still unable to find explore.exe am still left with the black and cursor page

I updated my windows 10..and now explorer is completely disabled...Nothing is working🙁
