You are right. It's a miracle. They are sooooo gorgeous. There love vibe for each other is obvious, you can hear it in their voices.
Thanks for your support of these girls - as you say, they are so gifted. Also it is a real pleasure to see and hear you both - such kindness and deepfelt appreciation of pure music. Others have probably said it below, but their mother, Louise, is a singer, and the three of them appear together in the UA-cam video, "Smile," which was long ago a Nat King Cole hit.
I watched this reaction video the first time shortly after you made it, but I'm just realizing I never told you how much I loved it. I've watched it a few more times since, and I want you to know that everything you're feeling and trying to put into words here, so many of us also feel. These sisters, Lucy, they are a gift to us all, and there are a lot of us out here who are thankful for it. (Like you both!) They are food for the soul. Thank you for this! --Jon

This performance was Martha's time to shine and she BLASTED a grandslam home run !!! Outa the park !!! Martha showed she can sing !!

YES !!!! Lucy says her "momma" also sings around the house, nothing said about any recordings but you have obviously not heard Lucy sing when she was 9, The COLORS of the WIND, and at 10 she recorded RUN on the beach, and rerecorded it when she was 15, and Lucy sang on UK's Kids Voice when she was 13, MOON RIVER....soooo yes the girls are talented but Lucy has taken voice lessons since she was 7 and still with the same voice coach. This song with Martha is unique in that Martha is on the right side, taking the lead, why she started the song and YEEEEAAAAAHHHH we get to hear Martha sing by herself, the previous 2 songs she only sang when Lucy sang and of course Lucy buried little 10 year old Martha, the rest of the songs going forward Martha gets some solo time, probably planned, maybe asked for by Martha !!! Excellent reaction, yes the girls are fantastic !!! Martha was 11 and Lucy 17 when this was recorded !! That smile on Martha's face towards the end of the song and at the "high 5" says it all and Martha knew she nailed that song !!! And you are so right Martha !!! Kudos to both Martha and Lucy !!!

About the fourth time watching and you simply have to watch the Prayer, Oh Holy Night and the Climb all recorded after When you believe and be further STUNNED !!!! And any or all of Lucy's 60 songs she has recorded !!! Had to come back and watch your reaction !! ! Priceless thank you !! !

OK Lucy just released this AM a new song SMILE...With her grown up sister Martha.....and surprise surprise their Mother Louise !!! Yes she sings and is a great singer, it is a different setting as each sings a seperate montogue in a tribute to Mothers day. UK mothers day is March 19. it was hard to recognize Martha as she has matured and her voice and singing is more like Lucys. give them a check out and hang onto your socks or you will lose them !!! This is a beautiful tribute to their family and the girls love of each other and their proud mother. Enjoy and Thanks !!!
Martha still has a little girl influence in her voice. When Lucy comes in you can really hear the smoothness maturity and depth of her voice. Adding to that their harmony is astounding. They have made several duets and the harmony really shows.
Martha was only 11 when this was recorded, and she is 5 years and 8 months younger than Lucy and Martha's hormones have not kicked in ...yet and in The CLIMB we see Martha at almost 13, she has grown, hardly recognized her in the "different" setting and her voice has changed also. I am waiting for another song from Martha either a solo or another duet with Lucy but it has been quite a while since her last song about 6 or 7 months and Lucy has released 3 in that time !!!

Sir and Mam one thing I will say they are so blessed by God Almighty to have heavenly voices like this I love it all but the harmony is so out of sight. Thanks for sharing Jesus loves you two and so do I kind people.

YES !!!! Second time watching your reaction and yes the girls are fantastic considering their ages, Martha here was 11 years old and Lucy 17. Marthas ability is not surprising when I have followed Lucy at 9 and 10 and 13 and Martha is right there where Lucy was , and IF you thought this was great watch their version of the prayer, it was right there on the screen at the end of the song lower right, Watch it have a good grip on your socks or they will blow your socks off !!! Fantastic hardly describes it !!!
This is my FAVORITE song of the two singing together... Not to mention all the others they have done!!!
Mark Mine too !!! I enjoyed it because we get to hear Martha sing some by herself !! The previous three songs Martha was competing with Lucy and we did not get to hear much of Martha but bless her little heart she got some Martha time on this song and she NAILED it !!! That smile half way through and to the end said it all she had FUN !!! And that mischievous smile and high five was priceless. I totally think Lucy is THE BEST singer I have ever heard but I also support Martha as she is playing catch up and I seem to always gavitate to the underdog !! ! But Stunning job from both those young ladies !!!
@@wilburfinnigan2142 These two are obviously coached by an amazing vocal coach and arranger. Lucy is Truly Amazing and with her sister Martha blend so well together. Lucy is in my top 5 of female vocalists along with my all time favorite Barbra and her friend Celine. Also Idina and Lea Michelle but I think they all need to step aside for this new blood... I realize Lucy is in the spotlight and has earned her place as one of the Greatest Vocalist in recent years but Martha is just as talented as her older sister in my opinion... I've been saying for two years now, I want to see more of Martha!!!

I had all but given up on modern music, being an old guy 82, we grew up with GOOD quality music and most of the crap pawned off as entertainment today is not worth the time. yelling, screaming beating the hell out of drums or a guitar and flashing strobe lights do not cut it but when I found Lucy and Martha it was like a miracle, someone that could REALLY sing !!!! I have all 4 of the CD's and play them on the BOSE system in the car whenever I go anyplace and you can really hear the quality and little notes you do not hear on you tube. I do listen off the computer with head phones, which helps, but my Gawd what talent in those 2 young ladies !!!
@@wilburfinnigan2142 I grew up listening to Classical Music from Great Composers. Later my Dad introduced me to the "BIG BANDS." My father used to quiz me with the Classicals and had me listen to them and tell him when each instrument and what type entered into the songs. He did the same with the Big Band stuff also. I grew up with a Great Love of music. I, till this day am not a Lyric person. I listen and appreciate the music rather than the words... I Karaoke and LOVE Sinatra and even more Tony Bennett. Barbra, Celine, Idina Menzel, Lea Michelle, Elvis, Andy Williams, Perry Como, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis and so many more have inspired me to listen and watch many videos on UA-cam because that is the only place you can now enjoy the music of those days... Very Nice to have met you here on UA-cam Wilbur!
@@MarkDaGardna I am not a technical music person but I sure can tell when a singer is great and can pick out the different things they do like their vibrato that both have and enjoy a breath of fresh air in this stuff called modern music, and refreshing to hear such talent. Martha was younger and you can feel the extreme bond between them.
Lately they did a cover: The prayer ( Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli song). Martha took the role of Andrea, Lucy took the role of Celine. I have to say I prefer their cover to the original as it is more sincere and pure.

Yes, Dominica, the gene pool was VERY king to both Lucy & Martha..........fantastic genetics, an outstanding coach and advisors to listen to them when they practice, which DEFINTELY makes perfect for them, and a HUGE amount of talent makes for incredible talent here!!

Fantastic reaction to two young sweethearts who are not only extraordinarily amazing singers, but extraordinarily amazing human beings of good character and wholesome values as well! Another very wholesome and beautiful sister duet you should check out are Laura & Estera Bretan. They recently dropped a Christmas song called "Hope Awakes," which is just gorgeous beyond words. Laura has been singing opera, crossover pop-opera, and gospel since age 13 when she won Romania's Got Talent, then was on America's Got Talent the same year. She is a prodigy like Lucy Thomas, Angelina Jordan, Amira Willighagen, and several other young amazing artists today who are hopefully changing the face of the music industry for good!
The initial response was surprising - did you REALLY think that Lucy's little sister Martha wouldn't be similarly gifted? Talents like this usually runs in families. It is very rare to have only a single sibling gifted, the others might be less so, but still very musical.

OK you were amazed at this song but you ain't seen nothing yet, On the screen at the end were 2 more songs you need to watch The PRAYER, Martha was 12 and also OH HOLY NIGHT, but to REALLY lose your socks over their just released SMILE Where Lucy and Martha are joined by their Mother Louise for a Mothers day tribute, and you will see Mother sing and you may not recognise martha as she is a couple of years older 13 !!! I am not kidding you HAVE to watch that video it is not too long but hold on to your socks !!!

That is a little sister big sister thing we observed when we raised our 2 girl 4 years apart, older sister looked out for younger sister and little sister looked up to and copied older sister, almost like the younger sister had 2 mothers, and we saw the same thing in our 2 sister grand daughters 2 years apart. its a girl thing, neither girl looked up to their older brother !! Also Martha follows Lucy very closely when they sing why their harmonies are so great !!!
Lucy was arguably better at Martha's age to be perfectly honest but Martha is certainly an excellent singer in her own right.
Adam true but I do think Lucy has a deeper more powerful voice but Martha has shown she has power too in "when you believe" as she got into the song, Lucy at that age was not as powerful as she is now. There are only a couple of songs of Lucy until she turned 14... Colors of the wind Lucy was 9 and the first Run she was 10, and then nothing until she was 13 on the UK kids where she sang Moon River, and got a standing ovation !!!

I believe that Lucy was 14 when she released Premiere so possibly still only 13 when she recorded some of the songs on it, her voice on that in itself is incredible. It wasn't until Encore aged 16 that we began to hear her more matured and adult tonality.
@@adamknight7041 Martha turned 13 on the first of Nov 2022. Lucy was Born Feb 21 2004 and is turning 19 in a couple of days. today id Feb 18 2023.. Martha is 5 years and 8 months younger than Lucy !!
