    Man! I (18 years old) really get goosebumps when I watch the video here. My mom had the vehicle since 2012 until March 2021 because she bought a fully equipped Tiguan Allspace TDI with 200 hp here in Germany. I drove this vehicle for half a year since I had my drivers license: it was a 1.6 TDI with 105 hp and 5 speed manual. It was a special model ''Style'' with a lot of chrome and pretty good equipment. We gave the car with 200k kilometers and can only say one thing: Even if I like features like bluetooth, Dynaudio Premium Sound System or a panoramic Sunroof, to the Golf Variant (Jetta SportWagen) I could build a stronger emotional bond than to the Tiguan! If one day I have some money after school, this is the car I will buy first! Thanks for your video!!

    I've had mine for about three years. I bought mine after my BMW engine blew up. I stopped by my dealership and was shocked to see these back in the lots. I've loved it and every time I think I'm going to replace it, I don't. I may keep it another 10 years and enjoy the great MPG and give it to my young kid when he's ready to drive. No complaints, from mountain driving to long road trips. We also have a roof basket on top and haul hay and tow a boat and pop up camper behind it. And yes, the voice command system can go suck a pickle.

    I bought a 2014 jetta tdi sports wagon just over a year ago. Only differences are I have a backup camera and blonde seats. Fell in love with it on the test drive at 75000. It handles like a Corvette and still hauls a bunch of nesecitys. Hell if I'm not careful tire spin at stop lights are common. I'm not afraid of the diesel isue but I hope maintenance issues don't become a problem.

    I myself have a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen TDI with a 6-speed manual transmission I got mine through carvana. I bought it with 58000 miles on it I love this car I've had this for a month also when you mentioned about the license plate you can run a front license plate through the tow hook area just have to buy a special Mount that screws into the tow hook witches weather ground cover is on the passenger side of the bumper. The six-speed manual transmission is very good not she and very solid shifts the clutch was a little hard to get used to because it grabs immediately because I believe it's a brand new clutch in my car. The radio in this car that you reviewed is different from mine I have a standard AM FM radio with HD FM, satellite, SD card media, media connection for a iPod auxiliary input 6 disc CD changer as well as Bluetooth connectivity I also don't have the sunroof moonroof because those actually have a tendency to leak and they cost more than they're worth to fix. The benefit also with these cars that come with a full size spare tire not some donut Tire which most manufacturers have. My fuel economy is right now as 2021 winter 48 to 50 miles to the gallon I'm looking forward to the summer driving and seeing how far I can push the miles to the gallon I'm also going to try to push it a little harder on the miles to the gallon in the winter to see if I can reach the upper 50s. They are great cars that have I agree with you diesel should have caught on granite if they didn't do that fudging of the admissions we wouldn't have this problem but other manufacturers got caught as well Chevrolet and others

    I just bought a 2013 Jetta Sportwagen back in mid January, needed a new car, after my Nissan Altima took a 💩 on me, this is my second Jetta. But I love it, great fuel economy, plenty of go power, and cargo space. The only downside is lack of storage space in the center console.

    We had the same tdi in red and my wife loved the sportwagen! The buyback offer was too good not to take. We now have an Audi allroad and haven't looked back.

    love. these. cars.
    bought my 2013 in 2017 w/ 70k (a little more mi. than i wanted). in short these cars are a blast to drive...i'm usually in sport mode w/ traction control 'off'..
    i love these so much that when my wife's acura trans went, i immediately schemed to get her into one.. took her to a great dealer here in Nor. Cal expecting, half-hoping to get into a passat tdi. my wife spotted a 2014 red sportwagen TDI w/ 40k miles...it was a steal. both cars have essentially 'full' warranty until Summer 2023!!
    i drive w/ my 'foot in it' at all times knowing the spec of diesel engines can tolerate absolute ABUSIVE driver input.
    aesthetically, perfect inside and out..
    they were cheap when we got into them. now CARVANA has bought them all up in cali and is now charging premium.. certain i could sell mine for the 15k i paid years ago....

      I just recently found mine for 10k, very well worth it, the moment I seen it, I had to get it. My gf wasn't too thrilled when I put the deposit down on it. But now that we've had it for a month or more, she loves it. She now sees what it's like being part of the VW people.

    I have a 2014 TDi sportwagen that has a factory reverse camera. Now granted I learned to drive without one, but I can count the number of times that I have used the reverse camera on one hand in the 2 years I've had it. As for the big bottle test, that is definitely something that has bothered me, but the positives very heavily outweigh the negatives of this thing.

    I wish I had two of these. I got lucky and bought what I thought was just a cheap economy car when VW flooded the used car market with these modified diesels. "Surprise" doesn't even come close to what I felt.

    Just bought a 2010 Jetta TDI diesel. It has been sitting upwards of two years. It starts fine , has some odd sounds as it starts then idols great. I’ve been leaving it running to flush the old diesel out and just let the engine run. What should I do…?

      I heard that the 2.5 engine they use is very reliable because it's an aged design. But is all the automatic transmission in Jetta bad? Is the dsg the only option?

    My 2007 Passat 2.0 TDI 140 gets 46-50mpg on the highway. And its the older PD (Pumpe Duse) engine.

      Boils down to driver and the snow on ground suggests cold ambient air temps. Prob nipped a few mpg off the top. If I cruise 85 mph + summer months 37/39 is pretty typical. 67mph with cruise same warm summer air 40/40.5 mpg is what I’m seeing with mine

    • @ShootingCars
      @ShootingCars  3 роки тому

      Here diesel is about $2.90 a gallon, which I think works out to around 9 euro per liter. but I'm not sure on my conversion method

    • @Black-Villain
      @Black-Villain 3 роки тому

      It works out to about 75-ish cents per Liter, assuming 2.90 per US Gallon. Fuel prices (and especially Diesel prices) vary greatly from state to state, in my state Diesel is about 59 cents per liter (equal to about 49 euro per liter)

    • @drakekennedy2353
      @drakekennedy2353 5 місяців тому +1

      golf TDI of the 2015 model year will get 42 to 47 mph highway with ease. They do drive more like a truck with more low end torque. my 2010 jetta tdi sedan is super peppy but doesn't get as good fuel economy as a 2015. but there's no DEF fluid for my year. Also a tune stage 1 or 2 will increase performance and fuel economy. I haven't done that yet.

    The truth about dieselgate is, as you said, nobody cares about at all, at least here in Europe. In the times of dieselgate, diesel cars was still at theirs peak here, now diesel cars sales falls down, but diesels are still very popular. Even more in used cars market. J

      What sort mpg are you seeing on your side of pond?

    • @JakubSemoda
      @JakubSemoda 5 місяців тому

      @@h.r.puffnstuff8705 That very much depends on size of a car, and size of the engine. Let's say, small cars equipped with bigger diesel engine (for example Skoda Fabia 1,9 SDI) has average fuel consumption around 50 mpg. If it's around 35 mpg, you can be happy with it. Bigger SUVs with V6, or even V8 can drop somewhere around 20 mpg. J
