Most comprehensive and clearest of all the Hunter irrigation videos I have watched.
This guy is the best I’ve heard yet! He speaks clearly and explains well . I need to play it several times and walk through with my controller. I don’t understand why the Hunter manufacturer can’t hire his expertise to produce their videos ?!

Holy crap.... I've been watching the factory video for two or three times and just one viewing through yours made it understandable. My system had 5 different start times for A, B, and C. All I really needed was "A" with a run time of 0200. Now I'm not going to be dodging the putrid sulfur water that my well is pumping out five times every other day. Don't know where you are located but if you get near Florida, you got a pizza coming to you. Many thanks!

Hello, since you start programming with the "Run Time" first and only then with the "Start Time" has helped me a lot to understand this system. Thank‘s a lot!
Keeping my fingers crossed that my system will now work.. I had a - symbol on all of my rain drops and the number 18 at the top. Ive removed the - symbol and set the number from 18 to 1. Tomorrow at 6am i should have a watered lawn. Thank you for your video hun!

I’ve had three different landscapers and who set this up incorrectly including one time when they programmed it wrong and the sprinklers went off for over an hour each day for each station while we were out of town. Thank you for this video!! 1st time having a sprinkler system and I see why my water bill has been so high. I had it set up for 4 cycles instead of 1, so my sprinklers were running from 8 hrs instead of 2 hrs and had no idea.

Im not a computer programmer! Im so frustrated with this system. Wish they made one that would come up on my computer screen with photos of my yard. Touch screen. It should ask me, where, when , how long...and have a nice day! My life would be so much easier. 😢
@@padinoel261 Rachio has a fantastic wifi controller. I highly recommend it for homeowners with less than 17 zones. Hunter also has a great range of wifi controllers however they can be difficult for homeowners to navigate - aimed at high-end users and professionals.

Very good tutorial. The instructions that came with the controller are not clear at all regarding distinguishing between programs, cycles, and stations. My irrigation installer for my home system was using the term zone which complicated the issue. As a practicing landscape architect, my irrigation designer did not recommend Hunter products for this very reason.
It is a very good tutorial for people like me who do not have a clue about any of the electronics in the house! :D Thank you so much! I have a question: when I set watering days, do I set odd days or days of the week or both? Does one setting that I choose overrides the other? And what happens when I choose odd day and Wedsday as a watering day, and Wednesday happens to be an even day in the calendar? Will my garden be watered then? I hope that I am explaining this right :D

Since the X2 controller does not have a replaceable battery, do the time/date and run time settings come back if the battery is dead, when AC power is restored?

I have two stations. One is for drip (B2) and one for lawn (A1). During the heat of the summer I like to cycle the lawn twice separated by one hour but when I try to schedule A2? the drips lines go off. What am I doing wrong?

How can i just have it water the front yard and not the back yard. I have 2 zones. My backyard just turns to a swamp and it only runs for 10 minutes front and 10 minutes back.

I turned my dial to manual all stations and back to run, though every time the dial displays the (Time) and the stations do not come on, a few days ago they were running correctly. Don't know what to do?
Hi, i have an issue with my X2 controller. it's being set to RUN but the display says "OFF" and have a picture of an umbrella underneath. Pls help me to fix it.
What happens if try to Reset?
I can’t get any zone to cycle besides the front lawn. Only front lawn works
I have the hunter x core, with 8 station but I can only get 4 to operate, how do I program a fifth station? I opened the tab to the 5 station put my drip line one there but when I scroll stations it just goes to 4, any advice? Thank you.
Are you sure it has 8 stations? Some of the smaller controllers will have 4 stations but when you open the tab at the bottom it will show 8, however, only 4 of them have outlet ports (screws). I believe Hunter does this to save costs on mass production.
If that's not the case then I suggest contacting a local pro as I would need to physically see the controller to diagnose it and perform a voltage test with a multimeter.
my controller unit is 18 years old. and while the basics in this is good it fails to address resetting the old unit. Having tried unplugging and leaving it for a few minutes , when it is given power it does not reset to the date/time option. I have reached the end of ideas.. any suggestions?
There should be a reset button on the controller that you hold down and then release.
If that doesn't work contact customer support for the controller or call your local supply house.
How to delete/remove the previous time. Because my hunter spray water 6am and 7:30 am. So i want to delete the 7:30am
I’ve been watching your video however iam confused: my controller has 9 stations; but it keeps coming on twice.
When you say you only need one star time; so you turn off station 2,3,4. Now does that mean all 9 stations will come on at designated time ? Do I need to turn on stations 5,6,7,8,& 9 using station 2 ?
If I hit station 1 and turn off the other does that mean all 9 stations will water ? Once a day at designated times ??
@@Alanj-z9r if you want the system to water once on the designated day then you only need one start time. So in start times you will need to turn 2, 3 and 4 off.
You will need to add time to the zones you want to run in the run times.
I have same one I program it was not working I called the landscape they fix it but it was water every 3 times I needed to reprogram it now its not working at all what's the issue please any I'd?
Ok I think I've figured how to program it but mine still doesn't come on. What can be wrong?
