You will feel much better with those curtains up, I think, and I love the frugality. We're getting a new house in a few months and it has LOTS of windows. I was able to visit an IKEA where I got some gigantic panels for an incredible bargain price. The day we take possession, hubby will need to be installing some inexpensive plain rods on some of those windows while I'll have my machine out just like your mother, making everything fit. That way, little by little, we can change things. I'm so glad you have your mom nearby.
I have been making new recipes, the same stuff gets old, I also write them down in my hand written recipe book that I keep if it is something I want to make again. Finally at my age, I have started experiencing with spices and finding out food tastes so much better when you add flavoring. Soup looks amazing, Love seeing you and Winston doing Bible study together. The curtains look great. Makes your RV look so welcoming and homey. You're a good Mom teaching Winston to cook. He seems like such a happy young boy. Enjoy those days Mama!!!! They grow up so fast.

We used electric skillet in our RV and crock pot. I toasted my bread on electric skillet while eggs were scrambling and bacon frying.
A streusel topping is also good on applesauce cake
