Among all the videos in UA-cam I understand your video very much... Coz for non engineer person this helps alot... I don't have to visit an architect for this calculation
It's an assumption bro....if you consider a wall...it may accomdate by brick and mortar....right !!! So we assume that the mortar quantity for wall as 25% ... remaining all are brick
Good video for beginners however, you have already presumed the amount of mortar as 25% of the total wall volume which is normally not a real world case. There is a methodology for determining the amount of mortar around bricks especially 9" brick walls. Please revise it a little bit.
Generally dry volume is taken between 45 to 55 percent more. So, it means the multiplication factor should be 1.45 to 1.55. But, it could differ from country to country.
Sir I understood the solution but sir when we include 10% wastage to the brick why it's not included to cement and sand Also can u explain the mortar calculation that 1.27 seperately
@@Sulimankhanacademy sir one question .we can find the quantity of plaster work from this idea of mortar of brick work... reply yes or no. junaid from dubai...
Hi sir you did an excellent job but I am a little confuse in converting wet sand to dry, is this this the same value like cement to convert it or we should multiply wet volume by 1.33 ( as I have heard )
Khan sb, for quantity surveying, walls can only calculate in Sqm or Sqft not with volume. Also when you calculate brick Mortar, it not randomly 25% as it must calculate the volume
because i calculated the sand from cement quantity... i you want to calculate sand not from cement then you will have to divide it by 4........ suppose if ratio is 1:3 and then you will take 3/4 where 3 is sand ratio 4 is sum of ratio
as per govt works the quantity surveyor should study the work specifications and there should be mentioned the percentage of mortar.................. however it may be taken 20 to 30 percent for brick work

@@prasanthsivaraman1476 can we consider this as thumb rule and apply 25% of mortar everywhere
@@prasanthsivaraman1476 it's not an assumption,25% comes from the ratio of mortal sand used 1/3

cft: cubic feet, its unit of volume
Hi Sl khan bro why you not divide sand by 4 for cement you divide it with 1+3=4 but you not divide it with 4 for sand why?
because i calculated the sand from cement quantity... i you want to calculate sand not from cement then you will have to divide it by 4........
suppose if ratio is 1:3 and then you will take 3/4
where 3 is sand ratio
4 is sum of ratio
