Have great holidays and Christmas I’ll be glad to get up there need another knee replacement left side but in great need to make all grip anyway great video hope you guys get more snow it’s been warm down in Louisiana 👍good luck
PFD interesting bonus that would come in handy for sure, Kinda like Ontario's carbon Tax benifit or HST/ GST ., I think a wee guest cabin would look nice sitting amongst those pines and would bring in a bit of extra cash to you folks , Great idea .Sounds like you folks have some nice plans for around the outside of the home wont that be nice look forward to seeing what ya do. If we dont see ya before Christmas I wish you and the dogs all the best , Always enjoyed .
Send some of that snow up to the Mat Su. I’ve gotten the PFD every year except one because I was working overseas for a job. It has only paid out a little over $40k to each person since it started. It doesn’t even make up for the high cost of living here.
Wow! In the 80's we were paid $1000 per person in the family each year. I lived there from 1981 until 1987. I didn't know where the dividend came from at the time that 10:56 I lived there. It makes sense that the funds have decreased since the oil production has been slowed down drastically through the past few years. Your home & property look so inviting. And I love that yall have kept so many trees. Year round it makes the views beautiful. Your plans sound great! Have a Merry Christmas. I hope yall are Blessed during the season.
I love your hoodie. Do you remember the brand & where you bought it? I’m glad you haven’t had the amount of snow you had last year but I know you have several months left in winter.
Im not sure where it came from, it was a Christmas gift from my mom a couple years ago. We actually just got another 6” of snow today. It’s starting to pile up again.
Good morning, we hope you have a Merry Christmas🎄🎄🎄your land is beautiful, it may be a little different this year but just remember you have each other❤
Did you buy the mineral rights under your property when you purchased your land? I think our mineral rights are severed on our homestead. I was under the impression that mineral rights are separate from real estate here in Alaska, but perhaps ours is just different because it was originally homesteaded?
I think the federal government reserved the mineral rights for any land that was homesteaded and if your land ultimately came from the state of Alaska, the state also reserves the mineral rights. I think it would be rare to get property in Alaska and also have the mineral rights with it.
@@gf3803the mineral rights have followed this lot since before statehood. I believe you are correct that land owned by the state and then acquired through the homestead act by individuals did not get their mineral rights.
How long can you leave the state for before it affects your PFD amount. Was your check affected when you went down to help your brother rebuild after the fire? There was a family that went to the lower 48 for a time but still collected the check. They got in trouble and spent time in jail over it.
You can be gone for less than 180 days during the calendar year. We were only gone 67days during 2023. We returned to Alaska January 31 2024 so only 31days gone for this year. Well within the allotted amount both years.
Is your son Chris still in the military and is Chandra still in the nursing business? Hopefully you guys have a merry Christmas despite being empty nesters!!! ❤🎄❄️🎁
On the side that you put the enclosed part of the Arctic entry, might be a good place to put a porch with a roof over that's slanted enough to put your solar panels on. Just an idea. All of the things that you're talking about the rental cabin, the gazebo, and the back porch all sound wonderful. It's nice to have those plans for the future. They keep you going don't they. Great explanation on what the PFD is . I don't think you moved to Alaska to make it rich unless you're panning for gold. Lol. I for one could hear how much you miss Chris. It doesn't get easier as the years go by. But we adapt and while we miss them just as much, we develop coping skills and the sadness isn't quite as bad as it was initially. In spite of it being your first year alone, I'm hoping you both have a wonderful Christmas. Who knows, maybe you get to be the kids this year or maybe just act like them I hope I can join you for the live feed. We shall see. Blessings to you both
Here in Ontario Canada we get $ 100.00 every month + $ 120 every 3 months and carbon tax every 3 months $ 140.00 for the year = $ 2240 for the year every year free money it’s better than nothing at all for some people it’s extra money

We’ve gotten snow the last three days. Craigs already had to plow the driveway twice since this video came out Friday. ❄️ Merry Christmas 🎄
Im in Louisiana to! No snow in Benton ...lol

We got a good six inches of snow today. I’d love to send some of it your way.
@ we had about 18” and then all but a few melted this last week. Hopefully more is one the way the next few days.

The alaska legislature draws money from the perm fund for state spending. They also decided how much will be distributed to Alaskans.
Thank you so much. It is a beautiful property, we certainly lucked out finding it.
Hey, every little bit helps nowadays! Right before Christmas too, that's nice!
We actually receive the dividend in October. We have to apply for it in a couple weeks, after January 1st.

Smart move on waiting to spend dividend to get the deals! I'm very frugal, like to save as much and where I can. Artic entry looks good!
Thank you 😊
The pines are beautiful!!!! Pups too :)
Thank you 🐾
Nice looking days at the moment…..must be lovely to get indoors and relax in front of the fire….❤❤❤❤

We can’t keep up with snow when I was little it was good but now it is not fun.
Yes, it was definitely more fun as a kid. Now it’s just a lot of work.
Good morning guys 🎄🎄🎄
Hey there!
Very interesting information. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Keep on Truckin!😎🇺🇸
That's pretty much that you both get. I only know a few different states you can live and they will pay you
Merry Christmas.
I'd be saying ' hurry up October!' 😂 love your place!
It is something to look forward to.

Chris decided to take a different path but is doing well. Yes, Chandra still does nursing full time. Thank you for watching and Merry Christmas 🎄
Is there a house at the end of your driveway right there by the pave road
No, that’s some type of work station for the natural gas company.
OKI thought maybe you could use their dock.I apologize
@@wayneboulware4730 no apologies necessary 😉
so beautiful there, I love the snow.

You need a garage for your vehicle, better to keep it out of the snow, you might just need it in an emergency
We’re hoping to build one next summer
Just beautiful you guys! Does the military people get it? Travel nurses won’t! 🤣
I don’t get anything because I had my own business so I get any of it
Business owners can still get the PFD as long as you’re a resident for a full year and have no felonies.
