I am enjoying your videos! I live at the northern end of Lake of the Woods near Kenora, Ontario. The northern end is much different than down around “the Angle”. There are thousands of islands! In the winter I have driven down to the Angle on the ice and stopped for a Jerry Burger. If you ever get the chance to come up to our end of the lake, I’m sure you will love it! On a side note, I just came home after a stay at Itasca State Park, close to Bemidji. It is the oldest a state Park in Minnesota and where the Mississippi River begins its journey to the Gulf of Mexico! You should check it out, if you haven’t already. Cheers to you and your adventures!
Hello! When I was up at the Angle, someone was actually talking to me about Kenora, and it sounds really nice. Maybe I need to do a tour up there next year. I'm heading back to Canada next week, but for the Lake Superior circle tour, really looking forward to it. I love Itasca State park, I actually did a series of videos from there to New Orleans a few years ago. Thanks for the kind words and for watching!
They let you in Canada! You're legit now! Just bring that up if anyone ever questions your character lol. Excellent adventure. I'm glad you got some R&R. What flies?
Lots and lots of chairs. Man them flies was crazy. Did ya have any trouble crossing the border? They didn't think ya was smuggling all of Canada's flies into the U.S., did they?
It was actually my wifes chair and she didn't find out until the video this morning, I've been instructed to buy another. The border crossing wasn't bad, I actually was questioned more by the Canadians than the U.S., I was expecting it to be the other way around. Thanks!
I'm from northwest Missouri, and there are several people in the area whose last names are Sprague. They pronounce it with the ue being silent. "Sprayg"
Thanks, I appreciate you letting me know, I never would have pronounced that correctly. The more subscribers I get, the more I learn about where I was, and I love that. Thanks so much!
@stinkleberryfarmer You're very welcome! I enjoy your videos! I love Minnesota. My first time traveling to Northern Minnesota is a great memory. I drove to Kabetogama, and fished there. The landscape was like being on a different planet to me.
I drove through Bear Head in March and plan on going for an overnight at some point. Its very secluded and if their cabins are open year round, might be great winter stay. Thanks!
I've always been curious about the NW angle. Thanks to your trip/tour my curiousity is satisfied. Happy camping!
Thanks so much Peggy!
Nice to see this area!
In the winter time we would go across the lake to the nw angle (54 miles) on snowmobile.
That would be so cool! Maybe someday. Thanks!
On our list to get up there…thanks for the show and tell!
Thanks for watching!

Yeah, I'm big time now, haha. The most flies ever, usually I get out of the car and check thing out, not there. Thanks so much!
Looks like a good trip! I’ve been curious myself to see that part of MN./
It's a beautiful area, if I was more of a fisherman it would have been even better, but still nice to enjoy. Thanks!

I am going to be in Minnesota in July 2025 so this stop is on my to-do list.
Excellent!

I’m from N. MN and we pronounce Sprague exactly like the commenter James… “Sprayg”. Or Sprag with a long a. I used to spend time in Sprague.
