- This is a RF 85mm f2 POV street photography video in London. This was my first time using the RF 85mm with the Canon R6 and I think you can tell how hyped I was about the photos I got.

This 85mm POV photography video in London is definitely one of my favourite street photography videos I've done. It's pretty obvious I had so much fun using the Canon R6 combined with the RF 85mm f2.

I live in Vegas and every time I go downtown for some street photography. Every soul on the planet looks at me when I take their photo. I’ll even hide and they still find the camera
Great video, thanks. I also watched your video with the Viltrok 85mm 1.8 lens. Between the Viltrox 1.8 and the Canon 2.0, which do you prefer and recommend? Im looking into getting an 85mm and not sure which of the two i should go with. Thanks!!!
I think the canon is quicker to focus. But honestly it makes no noticeable difference in terms of image quality.
@@MikeChudley What about the Samyang (Rokinon)? How would those two compare for street portraits? Which is better to focus?

You mentioned cropping your image at one point, are many of the images you post during the videos cropped? Im asking as I’m still new to photography and still getting used to focal length with different lenses. Could you show some uncropped/cropped comparisons in a video, just so I can see the difference in the scenes and photos taken. Im using a crop sensor camera, so this will help me judge the distance to shoot at and what lens would be equivalent.
You’ve mentioned in previous videos that you travel to London to take the phots, how far (distance) do you travel?

I am debating between the Canon 85 mm f/2 and the Viltrox 85 mm f/1.8 for street photography with my Canon R6. I have read that the Canon 85 mm f/2 has slow autofocus that hunts. Did you experience this at all? Would you recommend the Canon 85 mm f/2 for street photography? What about the Viltrox? Thanks a lot! Great video.
The canon 85mm f2 was quicker and easier to focus in my opinion. The Viltrox is great, but my my experience it does hunt around a little bit. Not terribly though. So it's still a great bit of kit but it depends on your budget.

Great shots! Did you use any lens filter when you took these shots?
What is your focusing strategy when using this lens? Zone focusing? I noticed there aren't any scales outside of the focusing limiter so I;m curious how you get tack sharp images even when shooting at f2.0
Watched video that you made with Viltrox. What lens would you recommend more? Canon or Viltrox? Viltrox is still almost half the price

Is 35 mm good for Street photography, because I have the 85mm from sigma , but it's the older one and it's really heavy to carry around all day.

una preguanta,, el 85mm f2 macro va muy lento en el enfoue de video ¿es normal? tarda bastante en enfocar..
this lens is a great lens.. i barrowed it... but chose not to buy it because i have the 28-70 f/2 and the 70=200 f/2.8 RF lenses. But it is indeed a great super lens. I'm considering selling my RF 24mm macro 1.8 lens and get this as i dont shoot with thr 24 at all.
I noticed you use your lcd screen to take photos. Is there a reason for that?
