No Simon, if you're traveling from NY, you don't have to self quarantine for 14 days once you arrive in Florida. I just went from NC to FL and there was no one here to tell me that I needed to quarantine. In fact, I've been traveling all around the US with no issues.

I payed deposit to go to palma nova in majoraca for october 15th with jet too for five days. Ive only payed 60 quid if i am not allowed to travel fair enough Health and Safety more important. First holiday since 2009 if I am able to travel its much needed. Should i wait or see if i can re book it??? The deadline to finish paying holiday is august 20th. Or just say forget the whole thing.??
It's nice to see how people are adapting and coming up with creative solutions, but it feels like a reactive measure rather than a proactive, preventative one. Meaning, we should also find ways to truly address the root cause of pandemics, starting with how the virus is born in the first place. I have seen lots of people talk about it, and I know this seems like jumping on the bandwagon, but I truly believe trying to reduce our meat consumption is essential. when entering a hotel room it may be an idea to have a throw away paper list of room service menu because before you would open a book of room services and many would have opened that book, maybe encourage people to bring own clothers hangers and a disinfectant clothing spray and the teas and coffee sachets need to be fresh in the room and the little kettles regularly de scaled and encourage guests to bring own personal towels as well, but not forced, all the fridge and bar in hotel needs to be fresh this includes balcony areas, tables, chairs as many sit on them chairs and harder for cleaners and look at mattress also etc because people will be looking more, maybe have a fine if a guest leaves a room sabotaged this way they will keep it reasonable for the cleaner. I think at airports give out some anti wipes and also pets appear abroad and tourists like stroking cats and dogs, so its up to the locals to have the pets with jabs and looking shampooed, deflea and well fed this is important for the image as many are animal lovers ie cats, dogs, horses (if see more neglect tourists now more likely to film etc ie elephants, donkeys etc, many like to see pets abroad

I really think everywhere is going to be risky, there are new cases in China now and travelling is still a delicate subject and most likely is not going to be as affordable as it was last year. I am desperate to go out but I still feel like is not the time for that, however is good news that somehow there are ideas to go back to something closer to normal, I really hope the world can get over this dark episode within a year.

I’ve also booked a November return flight from London to NYC for Thanksgiving, I paid less than £250, I am staying at a youth hostel for seven nights and it’s only costing £130. I understand your concerns but it’s worth checking your options now. Most of the plane carriers and hostels are offering free of charge cancellation policy during the current crisis.

In this case I prefer to follow strict guidance rather than being a little too relaxed or super relaxed like in Mexico... my current home, people here still don't believe the illness is real and the regulations are not strictly mandatory. So I prefer being in a new partial lockdown like they do in Beijing now.
