I knew of a homeless old lady who was in jail because she couldn't pay court fees, things that led to her losing her house. You might think 100% of the people in jail are bad, some are simply poor. Some are simply of groups hated by the court.

JOE, man, you should consider drawing some more of your stories more often, even if it's just a single panel like at the end this video! For real, this style of illustrating you did is straight-up professional looking. If I saw this drawing in a news paper or a web comic or something, I wouldn't think twice about where it came from. This is legitimately talented work, man, I mean it.

Just had to do 3 days of work crew for a crime i didnt committ. I didn't do what they say i did but i was a bad guy hanging w other bad guys and thats the breaks. This happened over two years ago. Im a different person now. Ive got over a year clean time now and im very proud of that. No doubt quitting drugs has helped me turn my life around and now i love my life and i live for good. Im a positive person, at least i try to be.

When i was in jail we had time out. In that cell all it had in it was a little step to sit on and a drain in the middle. I got lucky. I went in there for fighting. But they reviewed the cameras and seen i was defending myself. And once the guy quit (i knocked him out) it showed that i backed off and stood against the wall with my hands behind my back waiting for the CO. I was in there for 4 hours. It took them 4 hours to look at the footage to prove i wasnt at fault. And they kept that cell like 30 degrees if not colder.

While in nursing school my class got the opportunity to spend a day at a DOC Treatment facility. We were paired up with a “family member” a prisoner. We went to groups with our partner and participated. Not only were the groups intense and they would call each other out for things and such, but near the end of the day we were all (all staff, inmates and nursing students) to the gym as one of the inmates was on his last chance before being sent back to prison. It was crazy how they mentally, verbally and emotionally just beat this guy down. This sounds a lot like the T PAP. BTW, I thank you for your channel. My fiancé is currently incarcerated and I have learned so much from your channel.

So while you were there you were considered a prisoner and issued an OPUS number but the fucking place had no fence. It’s was one of the most bullshit facilities I have ever been to. Everyone there was sent for too many probation violations or people on their last 90 days of a sentence. It blew my mind they sent people who still had 90 days of time left somewhere without fences but If you’re stupid enough to run with only 90 days left then you can’t be helped. It was exactly like joe described Indian creek with inmates called “expeditors” that were basically inmate police officer. The punishments would be to polish doorknobs with a shoe string or scrub stairs with a toothbrush. The place was a damn joke. Ahhh good times haha.

I was watching this while spacing out and it was an entirely different experience. I just look over and he’s fighting himself as music plays like nothings happening.

In Carrol County, Ga, they take EVERYTHING when you go to the hole. All you can have is a mat, blanket, and a Bible. There's no commissary or phone. And you get one shower per week

That last punishment sounds like a therapeutic practice they used in Synanon a drug rehabilitation program called "The Game".The game was a session during which one member would talk about themselves and then endure violent criticism by their peers. During this practice, members were encouraged to be critical of everything, belittling, and using vulgar language.

In seeing this video, I immediately thought of Warden Joe from Arpiao from Maricopa County. He was known for his punishments starting with pink jumpsuits. It is tough to be tough in pink.

(TC) Theraputic community is also used in the prison system over here in England too.

TC actually is a pretty good thing. I wish all prisoners could go through it. It changed me so much for the better. Grads of TC have an insanely lower recidivism rate. I think TC is why I didn't go back. It made me a much better and more aware person. It was also one of the hardest things I've ever done. It's brutal to honestly look at your faults and look at why you behave the way you do.

How about a 'pets in prison'segment. I brought art classes into prisons in Ireland. Long sentences could have parakeets! I've heard of cats and dogs sometimes. You got any experience of that JG?
