I've got an identical flashlight with the exact same problem, so when I attempt to resolder the charging port all i need to worry about are the positive and negative legs? Just how do I determine which is which?
Mine has the battery empty. Bought new, used it camping for two nights and now battery needs charging. I plugged it in, it glows red to show charging but even after 6 hours, it's not charged. Wont turn on at all. No light. Pluged into a power bank, same redlight shows charging, it will now turn on if the power bank is still attached but will not charge for use without the power bank. This is the 2nd one of these that did that. First one exchanged, they said it.must be faulty. Now 2nd one also does it. What could be the cause. Tried plugging in and chaging from a wall adapter. And have tried charging from power bank.
nickel cadmium batteries... probably gon dead due to major discharge. you might need replacing the battery as it's too far gone. But as the battery is soldered in, you might be just better of buying a new one and making sure not to use that one till it discharges completely
