Love your reports! A character can move through the ranks to join the fighting rank. As your boss was already in the fighting rank he couldn't move. He could have issued a challenge though.
To make/accept a challenge the character needs to be in or adjacent to the fighting rank. So need to move through ranks first if he's not in position, if charged in flank for example
Thanks for the close-up of Da Great Keef! I painted that miniature for a friend 20 years ago. Classic RAT SPAM of the 1990's; and what a fight! Mag-7 gloriously died to a man. Sneaky rats pull out a draw. The dwarf army should be easy to out maneuver. Remember, dwarf armies are the army that is best beaten during deployment. Good luck!🤠 Keef army theme song: ua-cam.com/video/4_uF29CKVV4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=filmsymphony
We have a monthly event at the Combat company , but usually only 4 to 6 players , keep an eye out onthe events page of the combat company page. Hall of heroes are going to be have a monyhly event starting in Feb next year. Other than that there are events that come up on the facebook page etc. And now there is a rankings page with events listed as well.
Great batreps! Question to the big 10 models wide Boar Boys unit. Models, that made no contact get 2 attacks, right? One for the Orc one for the boar. In a charge without spear bonus?
@@CreakyGamers A character whose unit is engaged in combat may sometimes be required to 'move through the ranks'. To do so, simply move the character model (displacing other models as required) so that it occupies the desired space, within or adjacent to the appropriate rank, as shown in Fig 208.1 and 208.2. A character that moves through the ranks to occupy a space anywhere other than within the front rank of their unit must return to their previous position immediately once their unit is no longer engaged in combat.
I don’t think you can move through the rank if you are already in the fighting rank. If you are flanked however, you can move into the fighting rank. Really makes character position and moving charges important (and clunky).
Controversial opinion - Skinny humanoids like rats, humans, elves, skinks, goblins should've stayed on 20mm bases. I can't shake these guys looking like skirmishers on these new bases.
I absolutely agree. Tall skinny elves, in particular, look like they are all in open order, if not skirmishing. Skaven were one of the few armies that would benefit - before 8th edition the figure designers gave skaven tails that were nighmares to rank up. Also, a lot of the 4th Edition single-pose plastics needed bigger bases - Chaos Dwarfs and High Elf spearmen in particular.
@@Swindondruid2I completely disagree All my models fit together it’s amazing Just do more to your bases I was on the fence early on in tow but once I rebased an army I was like wow this looks amazing
The effects you have been adding have been a nice addition to the videos!
Thanks! Just mucking around with new software 👍

@@CreakyGamers Yes, a bit mental leap on my part. You could end it at the begining of Declare Charges & Charge Reactions phase. :)

The magnificent 7 hoppers are always getting themselves into trouble 😩

Really nice to see LOADS of rats. Proper stuff.
The board got a tower but they use a tree?
Love these reports! Where do you find the info on the tournaments Keith? I’m hoping to play some in Sydney when they come up

I dont think I had any Boar boyz in the game ?
Great report, as always, and a very different army to face! Huge blocks of giants rats is a different take on Skaven.
Yeah an awesome army , lots of fun.
'ere we go!
You can move into combat with all characters that have joined units. Rulebook, p. 208
That’s not really what it says on page 208 ?

Looks like you cannot move within the fighting rank.
If your not in the fighting rank you can move.

Yeah , I'm never real sure on when it happens and if a wizard can move along the fighting rank to a safer spot ?
They can't move if already in the fighting rank. So wizards can't hide and hero's can't move to get more attacks
SO MANY RATS!!!
Isnt your warboss in the fighting rank and can fight anyways?
Yeah he was in the "fighting rank" but only got one supporting attack because he wasn't in base to base contact with the enemy.
Elemental spirit only hits enemies :)
Good to know 👍

Yeah smaller bases would have given them more attacks back too.
