    I've seen other model makers use sandpaper to make plastic windows translucent. I love how detailed your stone work is and I wish I could paint as well as you. Great stuff! Looking forward to more from this channel.

      @@dodgydioramas I was just watching your other channel and now I understand why you are so good at painting. Watched a few videos and am impressed. I subscribed and will definitely watch the other videos, they are beautiful. You deserve a lot more subscribers to your channels, I certainly enjoyed your videos and luckily have a lot to watch. And as for the eyes, I have the same problem. We may lose eyesight but gain wisdom and patience and that's what you need too to make these beautiful things.

    Great piece and very informative. Only thing I could add is maybe use some sort of rear lit back box on the portal to show its still active / closing

    • @dodgydioramas

      That was an initial plan but the portal is far from flat and I couldn't workout how to do it without extensive remodeling

    What a wonderful change from seeing endless gore-saturated battle scenes. I can’t justify the cost of a 3D printer but I do like videos from people with the skill and imagination to put these dioramas together. (I bought a cricut 2 years ago and was sadly disappointed with its capabilities, now it just sits in its box)

    • @dodgydioramas
      @dodgydioramas  Рік тому +2

      Thank you, that's a shame about the Cricut, I've got the maker version which can cut deeper up to wood veneers. My main use though is over on my other channel where I use it to cut masks for airbrush paintings.

    Love it. Once you work out the lore of the piece you could paint where she came from and stick it behind the Portal. Might need to scan and shrink it a bit though.

    • @dodgydioramas

      @@dodgydioramas I'd see it as an opportunity to build out the back a tiny bit and maybe have a little of the scorched earth, or snow and ice, or whatever-it-is on the other side of the portal spilling over into our realm. Maybe I'm overthinking it a little, lol🙂

    • @dodgydioramas
      @dodgydioramas  Рік тому +2

    For a cheap CA glue accelerator, just dissolve baking soda in water and put it in a small spray bottle. Just play with soda to water ratio ( you need very little soda) to make the glue set as fast or slow as you like. You can also apply using a pipette if you want. Either way you have way more control.

    I haven't tried this, but other UA-cam crafters have shown that a mixture of water and baking soda in a small spray bottle can work really well as a kicker for CA glue.

The first was the house the the big scary dead tree and the moon in the back drop, I watched that thinking " I've never seen that done before, he's messing it up" bear in mind I don't do these things so shouldn't have an opinion, but to be honest, that one looked bloody amazing when it was done and this one?, iam gob smacked, I subbed after your first vid also, the windows on this are fantastic so dont be so critical please, be proud of it mate, some little lights on the portal would look cool but I don't mean it dosnt already, ❤😮

    I was enjoying this project thinking I might do my own angel project and then the portal is shown as clearly demonic and I had no desire to watch the rest of the video. I don’t really understand people making or keeping small idols to the demonic. Since a very powerful spiritual encounter, I see why it’s so important to be saved and recognize the spiritual warfare going on around us and within us all the time. Hope this helps some, I’m sure will make some angry or garner rejection of some sort.

      @dodgydioramas  9 місяців тому

      Thank you for the comment, and I can understand your point of view. I tried to make the diorama ambiguous so the viewer could interperate it any way they liked. In my mind, the portal was a link to somewhere else in time and space, not another realm.
