@AISHAJAMAL143 You can scout the internet for easier and simple versions of the DIY harmonograph. This one requires some basic engineering and fabrication skills in a well equipped workshop.

Very cool. If I get time, this might be a project.

Just wondering how this mechanism is stimulated by music? Also...if it is stimulated by music, how?

What are joints called, you know the ones that hold the pendulums?

Congratulations on an excellent design, craftsmanship and optimal efficiency. How is yours different from the 3 pendulum one? Greetings from Quito, Ecuador

Sir this harmonograph was built nearly 10 years back without any drawings. Just the build concept in my head and material available in my workshop then.
Basically it consists of two gimbals, mounted on a frame, with adjustable rods running through the centre of each gimbal. One rod has a Pivoting stylus on the top to hold the pen and an adjustable weight at the bottom. The other one has a fixed paper holder plate on the top and a adjustable weight at the bottom.
By altering the weight position, different periods of oscillation can be set.
Placing a scrap sheet of paper before starting the oscillations is the trick to get a neat design start. Just pull the scrap paper away after the oscillations have stabilised @3:35 mark.
One of these days I'll upload a fresh video with close up views of the various parts. This one was shot with a cell phone camera.

Woooah.. Extremely gorgeous.. Sir i have certain Questions.. Like how do u obtain different patterns successfully and artistically.. how do u control the initial motion of the pendulums so that the come to rest at the same time..?? And the most biggest question,.How do u make things like this..?? What is the error rate of making a successful harmonograph..?? how do u cope up with the mechanical failures..??
