Hello Philippines, we've watched your videos and were amazed that you guys had adopted to Filipino life style, in a matter of time. We will continue to watch your vlogs. Thank you for sharing. Before we decide to visit the PH, we will watch your videos on Island Hoping from Dumaguete to Iloilo-Capiz-to Mindanao. I was born in PH but left the country when I was 19 yrs old, for US. It's been almost 40yrs, that I haven't visit PH. My 2 grown sons, had never seen my country of origin. I've showed them your videos and told them that you loved PH and you showed us the country side from the South of PH, where to go. Will definitely, visit PH, in the near future and continue to watch your vlogs. GOD BLESS...
It's cute and funny how Mommy won calls Filipiniana as Yana like a nickname (maybe because the mall staff from previous episodes said it like Philippine Yana) 😂😂😂 Happy Graduation, Oliver and Lynn!!
Your whole family should have a family picture with all of you wearing traditional Filipino outfits - barong tagalog for the guys, and "terno" for the ladies.
@@hellophilippines513 Our traditional dresses are making a comeback today. You can see tops with butterfly sleeves, and parties with Flipiniana themes. Most formal events now are requiring filipiniana outfits as attire. Hmmm, well you can try to book a costume-wearing in Klook, though it will be in Intramuros, Manila. They will book you for that, then, you can take pictures within the old fortress or inside a calesa (horse-drawn carriage). While you are there, try our native "dirty" ice cream". But if you are in the province, perhaps you can borrow (or buy) any of the 3 flipiniana dresses for the ladies (baro't saya with patadyong, the terno with butterfly sleeves, or the Maria Clara with big puffy sleeves and alampay), and barong tagalog for the men. Then take pics in front of an old house/building or an old church. Or simply in a photo studio. In a rice field or bahay kubo, the best ourfit for the ladies is the baro't saya with patadyong and matching head scarf, for the mean the best one id the camiso de chino with neck scarf). In old churches or houses, the best to wear is the terno for the ladies and barong for the men).
We have so many traditional clothes from different era to different region Pre colonial era clothes were different from each other. -Igorot clothes (typical austronesian clothes) You can still observe this to Northern Philippines share the same clothing with Taiwan aborigine even back to acient southern china. -Lapu-lapu clothes has (hinduism, budhism, islam influence) they wear more jewelries. Women wear malong. Can still be seen on Minadanao tribes such as tausug culture, lumad culture and sea nomad bajao. Spanish colonization era - Barong and kimona saya (mostly wear by rural life filipino) some men wear kamiseta de tsino, can still observe back to pre colonial tho. - Pilipinyana (the sophisticated version).
If moving out, get their school records first, like report card and transcript of records and school certification and get their em 9:36 ail address so can get in touch in case you will need something because Dumaguete is vwry far from Luzon to get anything like records
Xin Chao! Hello from Vietnam! Big congratulations to your smart yet humble children Oliver and Lynn. Wearing 'Barong Tagalog' looked so well for him though. I miss Dumaguete City and Valencia as well. I will visit soon when I come home this year. 🎉🎉🎉 ❤❤❤
Mango fruit is not in season this month so the price is doubled .. just wait again for several months mango becomes cheap again .. this month i think avocado harvest season ..
Oliver looks great at his barong outfit while Lyn complains about her looks during pics..!😂Lyn maybe needs some new hair style to make her more alluring..😮
You bought it cheap because depending on the supply,...I had the same experience, I first bought 1 kilo...130, 120, 90, 60, and the cheapest one was 30....
Congrats! Nice to see foreigners wearing the Barong. A cool History behind the Barong is Filipinos back then used to hide weapons like swords and daggers behind their clothing so Spanish colonizers made them wear the see-through Barong.
I just hope that u guys learn tagalog gradually so u can communicate more to other pips here but either way u guys doing good i just hope that u will be safe always in staying here
Oliver looks so fine gentleman at his barong outfits, while Lyn looks unease at pictorial..maybe Lyn needs new fix hair style to look her more alluring being one beautiful young maiden..🥰❤️😍
