A 36 with manual accidentals?. Just magnificent. Another commentator said the piece has a great rhythm but I wonder if he realises your double timing your hand to set for the accidentals. The Fae King of Gentle Confederation justly proud. You made an old Cru very happy playing the Sacred instrument of the Goidelic Bardic Vates so well.
This is amazing I reallt want to play the harp o get a break from the violin, I'm also playing this with my ensemble, the other people in there are very young but they are amazing, maybe i will video it so i can put it on youtube, but i will need there permission first
Oh, Kinsale! The most catastrophic in the entire history of Ireland. It caused four centuries of famine, genocide, ethnic cleansing, the destruction of culture, language - must never be equated with the Holocaust but like the Holocaust must never be forgiven or forgotten.
altclut The monument commemorate,s the defeat of the Irish Clans at the battle kinsale in 1601, the defeat signalled the end for Gaelic Ireland . The O Neill s and O Donnell's of Uladh and other Irish Allie's were the last powerful Gaelic leaders left in Ireland , they had been fighting for nine years against the Elizabethan government and inflicted many defeats on the English. A Spanish army sent to help them landed in Kinsale and took the town but were quickly surrounded by the English , the Irish were forced to March south to relieve them . They were defeated in the battle that followed. They fought on for about a year but eventually surrendered. Many Chiefs left the country in 1607 in what is known as the flight of the earls never to return. A very sad time for Ireland. Incidentally, Elizabeth had her own Irish harpist , but harpists in Ireland were hunted and killed at the time because they carried Ireland s culture within their music . The Chiefs were the patrons of Irish culture, it was they who nourished Ireland's ancient literati , poets, musicians brehons Genealogists , bards , na file, historians, and with the clans demise came the end for those ancient Irish traditions. Ireland's harpists were renowned for their skills, and they were in plentiful supply before the Loss of the Indigenous Clan system. That is why Ireland uses the harp as its national symbol today.
Dreoilín ÓCoigligh Yes , many things survived , but everything Gaelic was in decline thereafter, even our Gaelthacts still shrink today. The annals of the four masters were compiled in the 1630's and the O Gadhra family funded it, so some traditions continued and some Gaelic clans maintained there influence after Kinsale, but it was the beginning of the end. The great mac Egan law schools would have no more students and there was precious little left after Cromwell and the Williamite wars of the 1690's . But in 1798 the O Dubhda met the French in killala with a company of horse , and even today the Mac Dermotts still hold the title of princes of Coolvin , and are considered one of the oldest royal family s in Europe through links with the O Conchobars of Connaught. Customary recognition has been removed for the standing council of Irish Chiefs and Chieftains since the Mac Cathy mor hoax aswell. Gaelic Ireland will get no help from this Republic though.
I've always loved the harp. But you can't carry it around like a guitar or harmonica. Nevertheless, if I was attending the symphony as a child, my eye would be riveted to the harp in the back. Your playing is sublime.
keshoasubuhi His harp is tuned. It sounds awesome unlike some people playing the harp. It's just the bass notes that sing through the next notes that can maybe be a bit tangy and yes his playing is absolutely magnicifent and feel so natural almost as he and the harp are one.

Excellent playing!! even better if he'd bothered to tune his harp ...
Outside weather can quickly mildly change a string's tone Keep that in consideration. Hes wonderful.
