Johnny Hickman is a blessing to anyone who is lucky enough to have him in their band. With The words and music of David Lowery, there's just NO STOPPING these two!!! They should be Hugely Famous, but the fact that when you go see them, you can get as close as this to them, and even talk to them for a bit after the show, is a GREAT THING that I cherish.
Johnny Hickman is an underrated player. His subtle licks and melody fit perfect into Lowry’s tunes. I’m a firm believer that less is more and Hickman is the perfect example of that
I guess if I could ask David one question it would be something along the lines of "How pissed off were you when your relationship with Virgin records ended? Is the song "Ain't gonna suck itself" an accurate portrail? How do you feel about that whole thing looking back on it today in 2024 given all that has changed in the industry?"

The greatest band ever. One of the few bands that can still write songs that touch the soul.
Do you think? Hmmm - I know about ten

Johnny's playing and solo's are just as lyrical as David's words. They really are a perfect fit.
just discovered this band and don't know why i never heard 'em in the nineties, better late than never!
25 minutes that will change your life forever
Amazing band, amazing sounds, amazing performance, absolutely love em!
Saw them in Boston 1993... they blew my mind away...
Don't see Hickman on a Tele very often. It suits him.
So good and so underrated band, it's really sad, mass people only like shitty music !
