I just finished my Asrock X300 the other day. Thanks for sharing. Unlike you, I have been building rigs since the mid 90's. But since 2020, I have started to look to mini PC's (unthinkable to me just some years ago!).
Considering the specs of course in cpu support I'm sure this cooler you chose won't be such a bad choice and is what I see most users use alot but my ocd won't just let me be and want to ask if there is a better rated tdp and be true to and or close enough in tdp than this cooler and will still fit inside my project , this pc motherboard inside an original xbox case while still having support for cutting the top emblem for a 80mm fan preferably a noctua redux although I like how wisper quiet 🤫 that fan is , I've bought about 4 or 5 or so with all exhibiting at some point another not long down the road quality control issues with noise in bearings , any all help will be great help and looking for close to or better in noise than noctuas flag ship fans even if I go with slim fans
The only downside of this barebone is that the X300 motherboard will not accept RAM that are higher clocked than 3200 MHz, i tried 4400MHz and it crashes a lot, i tried 4400MHz since APU really benefit from it
Great video! I am about to build JUST the same PC! Have all the needed parts, except the DDR4 RAM. Find it difficult to find the right RAM. Can you be specific and tell me please which model of RAM exactly did you use? Other than this, we are using just the same components/parts! Was it needed to make any updates to the BIOS? How did you install Windows? I plan to download Win. 10 and buy a cheap licence key. I seems to be a GREAT little PC and I can hardly wait to work with it!

As far as I know you need Asrocks bios version 1.70 for AMDs 5500g series .... But I'm not 100 % sure about that. But , of course , no working processor no BIOS update. Just try to purchase a Asrock Mini Desk x300 case with the latest Bios version ( 1.70 ).

the USB cable looks like it was touching the fan blades.
It was, i edited it out of the video, but i moved the cable to a clip inside the case so it's not touching the fan anymore.

you need to overclock it. check the ETA prime channel
Goood 👍
How did you attach the antenna wire to the wifi/bluetooth card so easily? It was a real pain trying to get that thing stick.
Not sure, but it just went smooth for me.
Thank you
You literally left the cable blocking the fan lol

doesn't the ryzen stock cooler fit in that case?
I don't think the cooler that comes with the 3400g fits the case. I think the cooler that comes with the 3200g does. You need the stealth cooler.
@@chinoc6631 the stealth cooler fits if you take the top ring off the fan. the stealth comes with the 3200g.
