Agree, imagine Blackburn and Burnley playing in a stadium like that nowadays. Erm, impossible. People were different back then, you could rub shoulders with the opposition supporters with no malice. Did things change for the better? I'll let you decide.

The fans stood and chatted together on
the ground and after the match she invited some of them back to her house for a cup of tea before they made there way home. I just think grounds lack atmosphere now being all seated. 🏐🥅👍

The atmosphere of the terraces was something special, I grew up on the terraces at Portman Road Ipswich and my first ever match there was the 7-0 drubbing of west Brom in 1976 when Kevin Beattie scored a belter and Paul Mariner scored his first ever goal for us. It was a wonderful time, things us elder football fans will always cherish, regardless of who we support. I'm 54 and look back fondly on those days, wish they could come back.
@@marksims3904 lpswich had some great players in the 70's, Cooper, Brazil, Osman, Wark, Gates, Burley, Osborne, Johnson, Wymark, Mills to name a few.
