Again I can remember working at the Chevrolet dealership seeing these brand spankin beauties coming off the carrier and I was able to drive some of them doing dealer pick up and trades when needed, loved the way it drove, handled more then enough V8 power loved the looks nice interior plenty off room, trunk had plenty off room loved the gauge cluster lay out loved the car period you can imagine getting one of these out on the road brand spankin new with the plastic still on the seats not to mention that new car smell anyway beautiful car I think at that time they were about 14.000 thousand dollars mabie more give or take anyway I was younger and I had my mint cond 1979 z28 camaro she herself was a beauty queen wich I always stored coverd in a garage only driven on nice days should have traded her in for the Monte honestley I wanted both wouldn't, that be nice......

I bought one just like this brand new. It was my 1st new car, I miss it I loved the steering ,nice and tight,and it would spin the tires easily.
I bought one brand-new also. Still have it.
An 80’s car I’d love to have is the 81 Cadillac El Dorado in the movie “Casino”. I love this Monte Carlo too. Got my tickets and my fingers crossed.

Ahww, man. I'm in the drawing, but I was hoping it was a driver! I'd be scared to drive an all original, ultra low mileage MC SS! Some idiot might t bone me. I also wanted to pass it down to my young son. But not THAT one. Obviously, that's a collector! I'd feel so guilty putting miles on it. Definitely a show/trailer queen. Gorgeous, gorgeous car!

@@DreamGiveaway no sir, I bought it off an older couple little over 7 years ago, from my understanding, there son fell into hard times, I have All the paperwork for all the maintenance etc, when I bought it, it only had 52k miles on it! I also have a 91 Acura NSX, with 88k miles on it, I've been offered almost double for what I paid for the SS, I'm hoping to pass it down to my grandkids one day

Two questions. Are the drive belts original or replaced? Is the A/C system fully charged and leak free? I imagine it is extremely difficult to find a shop that still services R12 vehicles these days.

Yes. When you win a prize like a car, the IRS gets federal withholding taxes on the fair market value of the prize. Normally, the winner would have to reach in their pocket and come up with it to claim their prize. In our case, we pay the federal withholding taxes on all of our vehicle prizes for the winner.
