You look awesome with the pomp--and you do have enough length in the back for a ducktail. It's nice to see that you're maintaining this classic look. In my opinion, it is a MUCH better look than the "curtains" that a lot of guys have adopted today. Of course, each to his own, but the '50s men's hairstyles were the BEST! (Also, two years ago, I suggested that you needed more length in front and on the sides. You have that now, and I think it makes a much better look. Awesome!) By the way, your Elvis pomp videos have inspired me to grow my hair long so I can have the same style. Thank you.
I'm doing an Elvis tribute concert contest with other Elvi in a month in Everett Washington. Very excited! Practicing my tunes, my moves, and my hairdo. Thanks for the video!
Hands down the only best Elvis hair tutorial on youtube ever, btw do you plan on making tutorials on the more later elvis hair styles like his hair in 1968 comeback special with the bangs or his hair through the 70s with the more feathered look? Really would be awesome if you did, but still great job with tutorial and ty for the great vid, cheers.
Awesome video man I can't believe Elvis went through all that work everyday just to make his hair look that way it's crazy to me. The first way you showed was easy but the second way is how I think he really did it with the blow dryer and that's just crazy to me to do that everyday. Looks awesome though
Thank you for this! It was tricky finding a good tutorial for a pompadour; both of yours are super helpful. I'm costume designing for a production called Final Judgement, which takes place between the late 50's and early 60's. I was able to find so many tutorials for hair flips and volume for my actresses, but barely anything for my guys hair. Gonna have my dressers take a look at this :D Thanks again!
