- House Republicans will hold the first impeachment hearing for Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday. If the GOP succeeds, Mayorkas would be the first cabinet secretary impeached in nearly 150 years. CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion has the latest.

Note: Congress can impeach Mayorkas, but it is a very difficult and uncertain process that requires both the House and the Senate to agree on his removal. As of now, there is no indication that the impeachment effort has enough support in either chamber to succeed.

But, if wasting American tax dollars in removing people from their jobs is what people want, it demonstrates a total lack of understanding of what government does and how it is supposed to work. Other than whining about the status quo, I have yet to see a step by step plan from the GOP on border control/immigration/international trade.
That's because the GOP actually doesn't care about the border. They don't want President Biden to get a political win, that's why talk about it so much and when they're afforded an opportunity to actually sort out the border for good, the Republicans refuse because of the aforementioned reason.

@@kathyb8540 what did they die from? I’ve overdosed and was brought back. But if I would have died it’s because I took the drugs not because of anyone else. I also don’t believe in putting narcon in boxes on the street either . If you do drugs it’s on you if you die.
