I stayed in Lincoln few months back in our company Concorde Camper Van and it's exactly the same as the one first one featured on here. I really liked it very snug but still enough room to move around with someone else in there too. You are quite close to the roof perfect if you love listening to the raid hitting the roof (which I do!)
I always wonder why, in small vans like this, do they put in a sink? When literally two steps away is the kitchen sink? Is that a gross concept, just to have 1 sink? I am only asking, because without it, there could be more comfortable shower space?
@@panampia I try to be absolutely practical, I understand that space is at a premium but even I would prefer two sinks. One for washing me and one for washing plates. Nonetheless I understand your point very clearly!
Hi Alan Enjoyed this video. The compact is one of the best vans I have seen in a long time. Looked more into it and found the Vario 499. All dealers seem to be in Europe. Thanks Jc.
Not many vans have space for gear", thats why a lot of people buy RVs, manufacturers should consider this,, its a big market, and problem for board sports, people look to custom builders, Nice review , great vans.
How much can these Possls be customised? The first one is very appealing for height including the roof bed, shower and toilet but - as you said - the rear facing seat is sort of a waste of space and I myself would prefer more open space and, say, less kitchen. (E.g. no built-in hob, just a flip-up counter you could put an induction job on top of.)
I’ve notice that American dyi vans tend to have more counter space for cooking and storage vs European vans value having spacious bathrooms. I like the European designs more. I like having a designated restroom.
Liked the interior of the first car, short car with a lot of space, but how is it to drive in side winds, so tall, narrow and light? Nice inside the car, on the outside I think I need time to get used to the short tall car, the look becomes a bit special in my eyes. Generally nice solutions for these cars.
Love the interior layout, really nice wet room for camper size, due to height restrictions, a tent top version would be absolutely perfect for myself, do they build one Alan?
@@VanlifewithAlan thanks for the reply, I was thinking a pop up tent roof instead of the permanent roof extension, so when in motion the camper is close to regular van height
@@brettgoodwin6052 There are plenty of vans like that Brett. I really like this design with the high roof for reasons stated, but I have never driven one in wind. Last week my much shorter, longer and heavier motorhome was rocking like as though it were at a disco in the wind so I don't know how these vans would react!
All of these are completely shocking to me as an American. We have nothing like this since the Airstream Westfalia and what we do have is basically a large wooden box as modern as a fishing cabin selling for twice the price.
Unfortunately no Reimo doesn't sell such an extension for the latest Ducato's. The only company who sells one is SCA, look for SCA Dächer, the right model is the 482. The van company Bresler uses them for their Bresler Junior 541
You forgot to show us how the shower hooks up in the back, although he did show that there’s plenty of headroom you didn’t show how the shower hooks up and why the storage compartment would not get wet if the shower is hooked up. And I like your Phone video should ditch gadget tree
Alan gracias por su respuesta de 2.05,,de alto,mi preginta es de la medida del largo, muy importante para tomar una decisión antes de la compra. Gracias
In US dollars you would be paying a fair bit more once you do the conversion...add on about twenty thousand dollars..so fifty euros would become about seventy thousand us ...not too bad.
Seems to be a lot more of these compact ones with toilet/shower in them. Seems the manufacturers are thinking there is a market for these smaller items and are investing in that direction as well as the larger and more expensive models.
Многие люди, которые проектируют кемперы, не используют их. Вот почему дизайн часто плохой. Однако эта ситуация улучшается. Десять лет назад было намного хуже!

No shortage of rain at the moment. During the storm last week, the van was movng like me at a disco!

I love the concorde
Concorde Compact is close to being my favourite of the all the campervans you've shown :)
I would like to take one out!
The first one was my favorite.
Really like the compact design and functionality of Possl vans. Liked all of those shown 👍🏾 Thanks for the coverage Alan
It' is complete and modern technology
The first one is a great use of space.
These high roofs are fantastic, wish they were available in north america :(
Really interesting vans, thank you Alan, for your tour.
Thanks for watching Pia!

Top, o compacto mais completo que eu já vi.
Aqui no Brazil, as pessoas usam muito as Kombi antiga nini van da wolkisvavem. Mais nem se compara.

Yes, it is just available in Europe. One day I will have to do a North American tour!

In that case Nick, one needs to get a van with space for the gear! However that bit at the back would work for it too!

That is a very good point and I don't know what the answer is!

They do them with tents in the roof - but a tent on this roof would surely be going too far!

Beautiful So Nice Very good condition
Alan, are you at the Possl showroom or at an RV Show/ I happen to think that if one wants a short-base campervan, this company makes the best product
I was at the Stuttgart trade fair CMT. I don't think Possl has a showroom. The quality of Possl vans has got a lot better.
Bunk one looks the best

Like the high roof. Are there companies that sell them to fit onto a van conversion ? Havent seen many..
I know a few companies that fit them - but it is not cheap. You can find the high roof in some of the catalogues such as Reimo.

Sat nav ?? auto gear box ??
Sat nav is in the shops. Auto is an option.

Not bad but why can’t European builders build a van with a level floor throughout
The best reason is cost!
Are they just front wheel drive or rear wheel drive or all wheel drive?
Fiat - front wheel drive. Possl don't do 4x4 at present.
These are insanely cheap by US standards...I would buy one if it’s sold here
In US dollars you would be paying a fair bit more once you do the conversion...add on about twenty thousand dollars..so fifty euros would become about seventy thousand us ...not too bad.

@@henryg3146 I was talking about the currency conversion.
Everything is cheaper in the USA, than Western Europe.
Hey Alan! I wodner if you could point me to a company/shop who can help us build a high roof for a 1994 Mercedes MB100D van. Thanks so much!
You can find them in the following catalogues : Reimo, Movera, Frankana - contact them directly.
If I have the money I'll get one even I'm here in the Philippines
I thought Persil made washing powder 😂

The concept and layout is nice but the furniture is outdated
Doesn't work if you want to sleep with your dog
Unless the dog is light of course.
