This was a fun project. Glad Usborne acknowledged you. I had a look on the internet archive site. It has the complete book and the game file. Sadly, not much of a game.
It was certainly a fun few weeks getting to the outcome. I'll still be playing Silver Mountain. Hopefully it's not too bad that I wonder why I spent so many life minutes over the past month into doing this :D :D :D
Luckily I left it blank, at the who to pay, as I didn't know if it was Usborne Books or Publishing and it's been sent back blank. So, I'll be sticking my name in there and feeling like a right wally as I return to my post office. I will however put the money to some good retro-inspired use.
The usborne collection (which I've recently repurchased) and INPUT magazines (which I have them all as PDFs) were a staple of coding in the 80s and I still refer back to them even now. PS I have just posted a postal order for £6 to you..... :)
:The Usborne books we constantly loaned out from my local library by myself. It was these books (inc. the Library) and also Sinclair Programs that were my constant source of both learning BASIC and keeping me in games. Not having access to funds my Library loaned out games on the ZX81 - later the Speccy - and Usborne and Sinclair Programs taught me how to make my machine do what I wanted. Like yourself and your collection, I too recently, well a year or so ago, completed my Sinclair Programs collection. After most of it disappearing through the years. I'm very slowly working through my Your Sinclair Magazines, stupidly destroying most of those for A4 sized posters on the initial run through. Unfortunately, with flipping INPUT I have bad memories, mainly due to my dad wanting me to type out a huge listing that failed to work. It obviously being my fault, I got the telling off, though I never got the apologies when INPUT printed the fix a few issues later.... :D Also, thank you, I shall keep an eye out for the Postal Order now I know what to do with them ;) :D

What a cool idea. Have a go with other publishers too!
That's a good idea! I'm going to look through some of my favourite sci-fi books and Top Trumps. See if they're offering anything in the past.

I don't think I do have that. I wonder if I can pick it up cheaply on ebay. Start another quest for a decades long offer :D
