I grew up in University Hts. within just a few minutes of Cleveland Heights. I spent large parts of the early 80's through much of the 90's hanging on Coventry w/my friends and still enjoy going there now. Beautiful suburb.

Bob Hope’s home was right behind ours and our baseballs and soccer balls often ended up in his backyard, with us knowing the pathways to get in and retrieve them. No dog to contend with. Rarely saw him or his family. Mid- Late 60s to mid 70s. Loved growing up in CH.

I lived in Brookpark Ohio from 1959 to 1965, then on W.112th St from 1965 to 1970. I spent 1 year and 2 days at George Jr. Republic in Grove City, PA. My parents had moved to Canton Ohio where I came home to in 1971. I moved to Millersburgh, Ohio from 1977 to 1981 and came back to Canton. I've been here ever since 1981.

@wizard also: Welcome back to Northeast Ohio! My family came to Cleveland, Ohio, looking for better jobs cause he coal mines were dying. I was 8 years old when we came here. I had my pediatric rotation at Akron's Children's hospital, had to form down there for 3 months. No complaints here, but that was in 1981. I see that you posted this comment one year ago, but if you see this,, know that I am wishing you a very happy Christmas and the new year filled with blessings and happy memories! 💖

My grandparents, Erwin and Helen Wochele, lived on E. Fairfax from 1939 till their deaths in 1998 and 2000. My great grandfather Will Mayborn, had a home on E. Monmouth, after travelling from Akron, Cincy, Indy, Ft.Wayne and winding up back in Cleveland Hts. He was part of the committee that raised funds to build The Church of the Savior on Lee. I'm surprised that church was not mentioned in this video with it's rather ornate stonework.

Yeah the good old days.. Now the city is plagued by juveniles with guns killing innocent people after the judge allowed then free so many times. You have generations of families in prisons and puplic housing . SCHOOLS AND Social media are nothing more but chill time for the children who choose to go. Homes have 10 different families in them. Investors have bought up any homes of value before a average working family can. No chase policy means not only will the puplic not be aware of these criminals of all ages but now they can shoot you and run police can't not chase . Leaving anyone at risk.
Streets out of Downtown and Tremont are full of gangs trash prostitution not even safe for a adult yet a child that's not into the gang thing. Sadly is how these low income families get vouchers for catholic schools and private schools just to get out here shooting other children and bully other children who's parents spend so much time working they have no clue while they pay all that money lil johnny is getting smack boxed in the hall by the project kids( yeah I said it ) the justice here if your a victim of any kind of crime is just ridiculous...I mean to find out the same criminals have been set free over and over after police risk thier live to lock them up is just enough right there ! Criminals have the rights the luxury!
