Just bought the set. It is a box in front of me...and I was thinking, if I ever build this, it should be converted, looked up your video and BAM! You´ve done it! Amazing! 😻
@@rawchocolatier haha! I am proud to say I was able to jump on this idea within even a couple of days of it being released, but it is great to hear of other awesome like-minded folks thinking of it as well! If you ever get it up and running, hit me up, as I'd love to see it!
I just got the NES from my son for Christmas and built it. Then we were both thinking wouldn’t it be great if we could get the raspberry pi and a screen into the TV. Then I found your video. Awesome!
That's awesome! I feel like I would get lost trying to figure out how to get the ROMs onto the pi. Not all that computer savvy but that's amazing that you were able to do it! Nice work!

I don't have a raspberry Pi, but I do have one of the NES: Classic consoles they came out with several years ago 😂 It has far more data space than what it utilises, so you can attach it to a computer and inject any NES game you have the software of. I've wanted to somehow install it inside of the Lego NES.
Have you verified it works with another HDMI device first??? Like a video game console or a blu-ray player? There is also a power/source button you might need to fiddle with.

Thank you for this tutorial! I just bought the Lego set and was now thinking about this, needles to say that its my next project!
Awesome!!!!! Let me know how it goes!!
@Mrsuperking UA-cam631 awesome!!
This is super awesome. There’s so many different iterations that could be done with the pi and screen. 😍
Heck yeah! I'm excited to see all the innovation and cool stuff folks do!
This video is AMAZING!! Thank you so much.

15:7 what skin is this ? im sure its not 95 or 98
It was just a jpg of a Windows 95 desktop :)
This video wins the internet
Haha I wish, but thanks!!:)
Hopefully I made the Pi seem a BIT more accessible to you!!:)
It seems like your game is sped up at 1.25x, does the pi normally do that?
¿??¿???????????!
?
probs just gonna put my switch behind there lol
I think it would have been cooler if the pi was in the nes to have a more realistic feeling and look. But still very cool
Agreed! Make it! 🙃
Working on this myself. I don't know anything about Pimoroni. My concern is getting HDMI audio to the display board.
You could do that if you ran a couple of cables from the pi to the tv. This is just easier.
why do I get no signal on the LCD screen when I connected like you did.

@@Geeksmithing I'm connected to the my laptop
Can you play other NES games than just Super Maro Brothers?
It used a video game emulator, so yes, absolutely.
@@Geeksmithing Can you estimate or do you know the total number of classic NES games are available?
@@joshuawalker3463 um. As many as you put on it?
@@joshuawalker3463 as long as they are legal ROM backups of titles that you already own in physical form of course. 😉👍

That's what that lego-set should have been like in the first place. What a wasted opportunity by Lego and Nintendo.
