Molly, your guitar chops are incredible, but that is evident to anyone with ears. However, your sheer joy is infectious, and these days we can all use a little more joy, so thank you! 😊
So. Much. Fun! Molly, I'm impressed by how the three of you kept that tune teetering on the edge of chaos, yet staying right in the pocket! I do so much enjoy when musicians have a spirited conversation through their instruments.❤
Amazing version of Wild World! With wild improvisation! The drummer is incredible. Her playing is so dynamic and crisp, so in sync with every nuance of Molly and the bassist. He’s also great. This is the best rhythm section I’ve heard with Molly. Jay Bellerose is a highly skilled drummer and I love Jennifer Condos’ beautiful bass playing, but these guys are just so exciting. They kick it up a notch. Molly’s performance is outstanding. It’s the wild abandon that can only come after so much learning that you can just forget all of that shit and go for it.
Yes... to every part of this video. The atmosphere, the playing/arrangement, the extremely entertaining facial expressions, the camera movement, the barefoot playing, the champagne sparkle drums, and the engineering is natural and expressive. Bravo.
Very nice rendition of the song. I really liked JP Maramba's tone and support during Molly's solo. He and Beth really showed how to keep it feeling full and tight when the guitar steps out. Phenomenal work from all of you!
Just discovered Molly Miller! Wow, such freedom, joy, and playfulness in your playing.....and honoring the melody all the while. You are totally immersed! Thank you for sharing your gift!
Great playing Beth! Every time I love a drummer's musicality, touch, colors, I discover they studied classical percussion. I'm going to share this with my students as yet another example. Thank you!
You can see the joy in Molly's face... I tried the facial expressions but everyone wanted to call 911 because they thought I was having a stroke... IT WORKS FOR YOU MOLLY!
just... wow! locked in! and the variety of the phrases to keep it fresh all the way through. TASTY! gave me goosebumps. whew! what an experience. THANKS!
I would have thought this tune a poor choice for jazz improv, but these musicians really handled it well. A few dynamic and harmonic surprises, nice tone, and overall great interaction between players. Excellent work!
I've had a black dog called depression following me for over twenty years. Sometimes it still tries to bite my ankle like a couple of days ago. Doctor Miller sure has the cure. Her warm energy comes across so beatifully in these performances. What healing power music truly has. Superb arrangements and playing. Thank you so much.
Helt underbar instrumentell version av Cat Stevens gamla låt. Jösses vilka läckra trummor och vilken inlevelse hos gitarristen, verkligen nyskapande! Tack , det värmer att se sådan talang och glädje i musik.
Omg, yep, the drummer steals the show!! Super smooth as a group. You guys should come play in the Florida panhandle, like Pensacola, Destin, fort Walton beach!!
That’s whatcha get when a jazz drummer plays Rock music. You get all the extra seasoning: nuances, backbeats, silence, phrasing, syncopation, grace notes….all the good stuff and more. It makes the song sound even more dynamic.
You just gotta love it when you find a new favourite cover/reimagination tune! Very well played, from the colours to the overall styling, and on top of that the incredibly awesome music!
Woof! That was tight. It takes real skill and imagination to cover a well known, epic piece in a different style and not offend the sensibilities [no, that's not right, 'turn off' maybe?] of those raised on the song. So I guess what I'm trying to say, is BRAVO!
Not offended??? It’s a multiple decades old song. Alex Skolnick has been doing these jazz guitar rock remakes since the early 2000s, or at least he did. It all sounds pretty good. The sensibilities of Cat Stevens you’d have to in your 70s to take offense lol
@@shitmandood Apologies - I used the wrong phrase here. Had difficulty finding the right words. The point I was trying to make is that it's easy to get attached to the original song when you grew up with it and hearing covers often doesn't feel right. It's a personal opinion, of course. In this case, I really liked this version.
Your chord voicing and single line runs are so 'on point'. Once again Molly you are among the best Chord Melody musicians out there, and your B D engine are dam good too.
Respectfully, if you got tasty licks, we appreciate you showing them off. If you got tasty legs, we appreciate you showing them off. She’s a great talent that totally owns her sexuality. That’s not different from anybody from Mick Jagger to Prince. She’s just tasty. Respectfully.
As a guitar/bass player i gotta say, the drummer lady absolutely stole the show! Nice phrasing on the guitar aswell, very original. Love it
Beth is the best :)

The dexterity of the drummer is just top class. She helps make this piece so nice. Very good playing.
ohhhh ya. beth rules!!

thank you!
Me too will defo look at more of this
That's what got me as well, I agree great playing.👊🏿

Molly, your guitar chops are incredible, but that is evident to anyone with ears. However, your sheer joy is infectious, and these days we can all use a little more joy, so thank you! 😊
You got that right crimefighter!
I'm a guitar player and I can't stop watching the drummer...Amazing!!
This is the first time in my life I,ve seen drummer “singing” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻
Check out Brian Blade!
Levon Helm? Don Henley?
love that!!
Then you have seen very little.😂😂😂
Levon Helm was so damn cool

Hollow body guitar is too big that it is almost almost floppy. When she leans on the bass registers it bends.
@@EnginAtikwhat drugs were you on? Lol

When Molly plays, she’s always in her “Wild World” trance-y state! What a bliss to watch her joyful playing.
2024 goals: Have as much fun playing music as these three obviously are. Well done!
What excellence.
And the drumming, wow!
Nice.

Beth Goodfellow - your drumming is simply megacosmic!!! BRAVO!
Yeah. Fantasticgaslatic. Absolutly wonderfull drumming. The whole tune is on the same level as some julien Lage things.
Love Molly to death, and Beth Goodfellow is a genius behind that kit! She is on Mary Spender's "Lone Wolf" ep, and is fantastic.
I see mary on rick beatto's channel.
Great stuff! Pretty sure Beth is the best quiet drummer I've ever heard! Her recording with Madi Cunningham at Paste is f'n masterful!
The tone and openness. Just right.
To Beth - awesome drumming. I'm just getting started on the drums and your performance really wowed us all.
That bridge to the second chorus.... insane! Excellent reworking Molly, Beth and JP.

As a guitarist and bassist that operates in a three piece this is a master class in taste and creativity! Well played!

Wonderful!! The drummer could teach a clinic in dynamics and control.

Yes! One next week and a couple in 2024
Virtuoso performances. Superbly recorded.
The drummer is honoring Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich like no other. What a joy to watch.
