It feels my heart with joy to see all your comments…It is a great tradition here in West Virginia…We sing after every sport that we win, from Football, to Soccer, Basketball. Baseball, etc…We are a very proud State who feels we kind of get kicked around, but we get up and shine…Thank you all, and please, if you have the means, you are most welcome at any of our activities…Almost Heaven West Virginia always have its arms extended in friendship..Blessings to all…💛💙
I am from germany and i really love how the whole stadium sings this awesome song. It gives me goosebumbs every time i hear this song when the whole crowd sings it together. I really wish i could be part of the crowd. 😊
There are some really special traditions in college football, but as a Clemson alum, this one gets me every time. Probably one of the coolest college football traditions. I hope more people can experience this, so instead of just focusing on Wisconsin's "Jump Around" or Va Tech's "Enter Sandman," you can see a cool after-game tradition.
Having seen John Denver 4 times in concert, this is so good!!!!! His concerts were so good, lots of singing, lots of tears, people enjoying other people.
I was born in South Charleston WV in 1972. My grandparents lived on Ohio Street and my parents lived in a apartment above the night owl in Spring Hill off of McCorcle Ave. My parents got divorced and my mom Married my sisters dad. His last name was Gardner. If you're from Charleston that name may sound Familiar His dad Chuck Gardner owned the RC cola bottling plant and Mr. Gardner was the Mayor of Charleston. The Gardner 's home was across the street from "Sun Rise museum. Did I go to WV U? No I grew up in Knoxville Tennessee and went to the University of Tennessee. We have the best fight song.
Исключительно ради этой песни хотел бы увидеть Западную Вирджинию. Приятно видеть нормальных американцев, которые занимаются своим домом, своими проблемами, своим будущим.
Almost heaven, West Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River Life is old there, older than the trees Younger than the mountains, growin' like a breeze Country roads, take me home To the place I belong West Virginia, mountain mama Take me home, country roads All my memories gather 'round her Miner's lady, stranger to blue water Dark and dusty, painted on the sky Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye Country roads, take me home To the place I belong West Virginia, mountain mama Take me home, country roads I hear her voice in the mornin' hour, she calls me The radio reminds me of my home far away Drivin' down the road, I get a feelin' That I should've been home yesterday, WHEN! yesterday Country roads, take me home To the place I belong West Virginia, mountain mama Take me home, country roads Country roads, take me home To the place I belong West Virginia, mountain mama Take me home, country roads Take me home, down country roads Take me home, down country roads
I totally disagree although I am a big Brad paisley fan his version is not even close to John Denver’s and I have heard other covers of country roads that are better than this !!!

This song is so good!
From Vietnam with love
He should realy do a studio version, realy like this version
West Virgina Tourism owns the rights to the song.
His label would have work out a deal for him to record it.
Almost as good as John Denver and I love to hear Brad sing!!!! I'll bet it's the closest anybody will ever get to John's version!!!!
Actually I have heard better than this
