Hi, thanks for your comment. The material used to root the cuttings is called perlite. I believe it's known as "perlita" in spanish, although I can't tell you if it's available near you.
During the rooting process, only water is added in order to prevent the plants from drying up.
The cuttings will root in about 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the air temperature.
      -----------------------------

Hi Carl, thank you for the time to answer me and also for the indications, because I tell you that I can not make them reproduce, I do not know if it is the temperature of the environment or the water or something else but I keep trying, thanks for your help and if you can Have a video about the schematics and how to root the fiche in more detail, thank you and have a nice day

I have a big Benjamin ficus , reaches to the ceiling, and a few months ago it had a severe bug attack, and lost 40-50 leaves a day until quite empty looking, but with some natural treatments I am happy to have saved it and it also grew out new fresh leaves but has not achieved the fullness yet. There are about 3 long branches that I would like to cut out so it can become fuller near the stem, but I am uncertain if the tree would be stressed to early by that? What is your advice?
