- Today we try out IE's stage 1 tune and I give my first impressions as well as make some comparisons to 034Motorsport's tune and stock! Thanks to the guys over at IE (Tyler and Carter) for giving me the opportunity to beta test their tune!

to use IE and flash the car do you need something on the battery or use like a battery charger on the car while doing the flash?
What's your attitude? I have ran a 4.2s 0-60 stock...
What is the advertised stock number 4.4?
@@tombrown9246 No idea. Does 4.2 consistently.
@@tombrown9246 Advertised is 4.4. The car seems to be able to pull a consistent 4.2 in stock w/ good conditions.
Did you think about trying out the low torque TCU? Or just launching at a little lower RPM than the limit?
Have you tried to launch with the traction in sports mode? I found that limit the wheelspin off the line with my APR stage one. Also I am considering to get the IE stage 1, is the battery charger necessary for tuning it at home?
Good video
Thank you!
Thanks for the vid. Get the intercooler upgrade :)
I'm on the EPL FBO stage 2 with their full TCU tune. Wagner IC and modded airbox. So much happening on this platform now. I have been thinking about trying out the 034 tune and now IE drops this feature packed from the go. I really would like to compare some of these B9 tunes too. I'm going to wait a little while, but it seems like IE has come out strong. I'll probably get the 034 or IE to compare soon. Audizine threads.
This is basically where I am. Waiting to see if 034 has the better TCU tune. Everything they do revolves around maintaining that OEM feeling, and I really like that.
@@trentimus5700 How does 034 "maintain that OEM feeling" when they've already made the cars sound like machine guns. IE and EPL seem much more focused on keeping things like OEM while adding performance.
The beta tune must have been pretty different than the production version. Stage 1 has no loud crackles and is very smooth. Unless you launch the thing, then it’s massively violent.
Just installed mine and I agree
Have you ever tried the 93?
What battery changer is that you are using is it cordless?
Noco
Check out the Clore Automotive PL2320 20-Amp - Not cordless. I have a Noco too. That Noco can save you ha.
034 tcu tune doesn’t change anything about transmission mapping. Anything you felt different was all placebo. Excited for 034 to come out with their trans tune.
A TCU tune only adjusts shift points (what rpm the car shifts at) and is mainly used to increase the rev limit for each gear. Sure, this does help with timing of shifts for a sportier driving experience. However, pretty much all ECU tunes (including 034) make changes to the engine characteristics upon shifting, which will give you a different shift feel. The TCU doesn’t determine any other characteristics of a shift aside from WHEN the shift should take place. 034 has only not released a proper TCU tune yet as they have felt no need to increase the rev range with the stock turbo, given that the turbo is already maxed out at ~6000rpm. I myself too have felt a drastic difference if shifting characteristics with the 034 tune, and I’m sure others like EPL, IE, APR, and Uni have similar results.
Ie vs 034
"This IE tune has more crackles than the 034 tune." (Guy who hadn't tried out the R2.0 034 revision yet :))
