Love your touch on the lick! One thing; is the song really known as "Forget You"? In Norway the song used to play on the radio all the time, but with the title "F*ck you" which lyrically makes alot more sense (perhaps phrasing-wise as well?).

Jeff, what notes are you playing when you play this riff in the high register. Any chance of an altissimo lesson. seems you go up to the high Bb on alto. Is that correct? Thanks. Great clip. Love the theory based lessons although I sometimes get a little lost. I suppose taking concert is the correct way to learn sax as a transposing instrument.

Nice Jeff! Jeff what's the mouthpiece? I play on a jody jazz DV6 for that bright sound and for cocktail hour stuff I play a Meyer 6. I'd like to get a brighter sound with a hard rubber and I've tried a bunch but nothing that I am completely in love with. I also play a JumboA35 Van but that is a bit too hard hitting.

sounds like a bit of growl when you're altissimo, no? Maybe an idea for next video... I haven't yet thought of an easy way to teach humming / playing at the same time to my students.

Honestly there is no "easy" way to learn how to growl. You just have to sit down and work it out. This especially true for a bari player like myself as the bigger saxophones have a harder time growling.

No. The high note is a B (concert D) and the blip is a C natural (concert Eb)

you should learn it by ear man! Pretty much on concert C pentatonic (alto A) for most of the melody
