i did a experiment on this myself when i was in 10th class
I joined a new tution class and tried to create a fake image of me being shy, cringey, anxious, non charismatic, etc for the whole year
and in the school where i was an average classmate/friend in the group I tried to create the complete opposite image of what i described above
till the end of the year i noticed the result that i was respected and treated by my school friends better than my tution friends
I was made feel inferior and disrespected by my tution friends even though I was the topper of the class and complete opposite scenario was with my school friends
I tried to change the image that I made in my tution group but no matter how hard I tried my image on front of them never changed
The whole year I was the same person but I was treated differently just based on how I described myself and my first impression
The conclusion that I came to is that the first impression and image play a major role in how I will be treated (I need to avoid being shy, introverted, antisocial,etc)
I would try to create better image when I meet someone new
