I just so happened to catch that video in my feed that this guy is referring to. Watched it too. Picked up on the same two things that your subscriber mentioned while i watched it, and thought to myself, "Hmmm...That's awfully specific. Mentioning basecoat coverage applications in one coat, and using inexpensive guns and expecting a quality result. Someone must be a little jealous." Then it hit me, and I laughed out loud then smiled just sitting there all by myself. You knockin on his door Trigger. 😁😆 He's not far from you either. He's right around the corner. He's got the benefit of a full Asian highline dealer's body shop, paint booth, paints, equipment, and materials. You're working for an independent privately owned body shop where the owner made the paint booth himself 40 plus years ago, and you got the "Busted Bodyman". You're making the best of what you got to work with and still turning out excellent work. And look at how fast the subscribers are growing now. You're knocking on his door and he see's you. Hahaha 😂 It was nice to hear more of your story my friend. But we don't need to hear that in order to see that you have talent, and to know that you know what you're doing. The results speak for themselves. We can also feel the honestly, sincerity, and humility coming from you. It shines right through. You know what they say - Haters gonna hate. Keep knocking on that door my friend, you're doing just fine. 😉😁
Thank you beach city. And I know it was directed to me. That's why I wanted to drop some background just so people have an idea who I am. I'm not the least bit upset. And if I can turn out this type of work in the old brick paint booth imagine inside of a controlled temperature booth. Thank you man for your continued support. I really do appreciate you man. 💪🏼
Couldn't of said it any better, and we all know who he's referring too. Really sad that people have to stoop that low. I don't get coverage on my first coat eighter. If it works for you that's all that matters. Keep it real bud. Appreciate all you do.
No one can discredit you man! You know your craft 💯 at least I know that from growing up in a body shop. That school teacher hasn’t painted as long or the years of training as you. No sweat 😅 I dig your style of teaching and it’s more appreciated than you realize. Thanks 🙏
Great teacher's have the ability to change perspectives and inspire greatness. Sounds like you had a great one. You speak the truth! No painters do everything the same. That does not mean one is wrong and one right. Learning different techniques is what makes UA-cam great! Keep bringing your style and sharing. Hats off brother!
Thank you sir. Yes he was a great teacher the man changed my life I just wish he was alive to see the great things I've accomplished because of him. I have been hearing about your channel, I'll have to check out some of your videos. Thank you for chiming in it's greatly appreciated 💪🏼 paint on brother 🤙🏼
Paint society done messed with the wrong painter 🤣 I knew you were official bro but this just solidifies it. You're going to go far on UA-cam. We can feel the realness in your message and know you're genuine. Great video man.
Yea paint society, What is that other one that uses BASF...IDK they are all too commercialized. Triggerman is legit to me. the most legit painter on youtube. But I do like Tonys refinishing and gunman. Truthfully I am a BASF guy.......BASF resins the best. Better then PPG. Although I use a lot of PPG Matthews single stage satin urethane.
@@Mikefngarage yea this dude is legit. No fluff or bs and funny as hell. That's why none of the big channels like him. He's like an outlaw in their eyes but a savior for all of us who want the real deal.
@@killadelphia215 IDK but everyone has different painting styles and products they use. Personally with some products I cannot get coverage with the first coat. If I put it on wet it will fisheye. But it is all about the technique. less turns out and slower makes the material go on more even and thinner. So it can be done. Depends on how your setup. tip size, turns out, reducer your using, product, PS has his way and TM has his. Nothing wrong with either. Personally I like TM. he shows reality of painting. Stuff that happens to EVERYONE....times that times 10 and that is the results you get at home. More issues more problems. But the truth is they can all be fixed. TM does not have booth heat or cooling either. Some other channels do. So he shows stuff that works better for DIYers. so do I.
I salute you my man - You have a very impressive background with painting & We appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience and tips with us. Your knowledge is valuable.. keep up the good work …
Thank you Grant I appreciate it man. I'm in no way angry I just want to let all of you guys know a little bit about ole Trigger. Thanks for fire support. ✊🏼
Thank you UPK I appreciate you my man. Now we can get back to business and have some fun, laugh and learn together just had to get the snakes out of the grass so we can play. 😎 Thank you champ for all of your support ✊🏼🏆💯
Dang Trigger that was deep and i really felt that. Thank you for sharing your background. You really are a beast with this paint. And you're right I spray Axalta and it's 1 coat application, but someone with limited experience wouldn't know those things. Keep up the good work trigger we appreciate you.
Thank you Dave, I just wanted you guys to know a little more about my background and why I'm passionate about what I do. Thank you for your support. 👊🏼🫡
I’ve learned a lot from you, Sprayway Custom.. I just sprayed my first car Honda Accord no paint booth lol but hey I gotta start somewhere an I’ve tacked on a lot of side jobs just by doing my car!! Thanks a lot keep the videos coming my brother ✊🏾
Nice congrats on your first job hopefully it came out great. That's one job you'll remember for the rest of your life. Thank you for watching. Sand I'll definitely keep them coming ✊🏼
As someone who painted nearly 50 years now, I hope you're progress is going well. You will NEVER forget the 1st one. 17 years old. My car, a 1969 dodge charger in B5 blue DITZLER acrylic enamel.
I understand 100% what your instructor told you! 23 years working on diesel equipment in South Ga! Got to be a step ahead of the rest! Appreciate you bro for your teaching!
You are a hard working man and you've done the right thing to explain it . What people don't realize is that you bring 100 spray painters - you will see 100 different ways of painting a car but end of the day same result. Your style and system is unorthodox. Keep it up and good luck and God Bless You and Protect you.
Thank you sir I'm glad you can understand my reasoning behind the video. It's not out of anger It's simply to let these guys know I know my stuff and won't lead them the wrong way. Thank you again for your support 👊🏼🫡
Great video Triggerman. Everything you say comes from your heart. I'm just an amateur but I have learnt a lot from you. And as with most things in life, like washing the dishes or mopping the floor, we all do it a bit differently! Keep up the great content.
I've watched a lot of channels. I can tell you know what's up. There's so much you can't teach. When you've been doing it so long it's almost second nature. I learn everyday. I work in a prestige shop in Melbourne Australia. I appreciate your hustle man
Thank you Rick, and your 100% correct this stuff is like second nature to me. And it is a little hard to teach all of what I know but in time I know I can get it all out for these guys to learn. Thanks again man. 💪🏼👊🏼
Yea man I had to get jumped in like a gang. They been hitting me over the head with 2x4's so now I'm an official UA-cam Crip 🤣🤣🤣😂 or Blood thank you Tweegle imma always keep it a buck with y'all. ✊🏼👊🏼
Ive been in school since August of 2022 learning this trade and finish this August. Ive been working part time at a shop since Feb of 2023. I enjoy watching alot of channels. I can learn from all of them. The biggest thing I've learned is no two painters are the same, no two products are the same, and no two guns are the same. The second thing I've learned is a good painter can take a cheap product and a cheap gun and turn out a quality job. Keep putting the content out bro. UA-cam is a weird place, but youre gonna blow up within the next year.
Thank you man. I really appreciate that. And everything you said is 100% correct. You're gonna be an awesome painter you have an open mind that's how I was. Absorb everything you can and squeeze out the BS as time goes on. Thank you for watching. And best of luck with school and your future in the trade 🙏🏼🙌🏼💪🏼
Trigger you have paid your dues, it can be a brutal trade at times without the youtube B/S. I enjoy your narration, one never knows what you will say. You can trust a man that treats the shop's cats with respect. Time is money and you know how to get out of trouble, the sign of a true professional. All the best.
Thank you man. And yes Trigger love the Pussies 2 legged and 4 legged 🤣🤣🤣 I admit that youtube BS was a shocker but I'm taking it like getting initiated into a gang at 16 years old had to fight five dudes for 5 minutes to get in and 10 dues for 10 minutes to get out so I can handle this after my "UA-cam" initiation it's going to be smooth sailing on UA-cam Believe that. Thank you for chiming in It's greatly appreciated 💪🏼
I've been watching over the last month or two and luv your vids, thats the reason why I subscribed. I've learned alot bro so keep up the good work and keep knocking out the awesome vids
As a fairly new painter 3 years into it. I much appreciate you. And all other channels i can watch and learn. I have never been to trade school but have been thinking of getting some sort of certification. Thanks for keeping it real trigger.
4sho thank you man. It's not necessary but it's always a plus to get as many certs as you can especially if it's something you want to pursue as a career. They increase your knowledge as well as your worth and to be honest at the level I'm at now I could never work anywhere painting for under $100,000 per year. There's so much money to be made in this trade it's not even funny. I personally would suggest to get certifications in different paint products as well as ASC, iCar, Not so much as trade school. If You are already set on being a painter then trade school might be a bit much because they will cover everything You will learn body work, estimating, frame machine, painting, structural. Best of luck to you brother and I'm always here if you have any questions I will always reply back to you or you can hit me on Instagram DM if you wanted more private either way ole triggerman is here for you. 💪🏼
Thanks for being real and teaching us your way of doing things. As my oldman use to say, there's two ways to skin a cat. I watch several different UA-cam channels on autobody repair and painting. I am a DIY and have a lifelong dream of painting a car before I am six feet under. Each channel that I watch provides something unique and different. I like your style and approach. Thanks for sharing your life story with us.
You're not then welcome sir and thank you for watching. Well sounds like we need to get you painting a car Abby questions you ever have feel free to ask I'll always reply back to you guys, every single message. ✊🏼
Hey Triggerman, your work speaks for itself. I like your style, attitude, and passion for the trade. Thank you for sharing the knowledge that took you almost three decades to acquire. 🐐
Thank you Sir, I really appreciate that. Yea man going on 3 decades. Dam that makes me feel old to hear 😂 imagine I was doing this when people's favorite UA-camr was 7 years old. And now want to say Trigger doing it wrong 🤣😂 Thanks man I'll continue to teach all of the skills I've acquired over the years. It may take a while but it's a marathon not a race. 💪🏼👊🏼
I didn't know the specifics of your qualifications, didn't need to. All you gotta do is watch the videos. Results are pretty clear. I'm listening and learning Trigger Man
Hey buddy. You definitely know yr stuff. Try getting all yr coverage on first coats with transparent reds. Lol. Know your materials. Very true. Keep up the excellent teaching Most of us do
Hey up triggerman great video and and even better background 👍 I also watched a video the other day of a top UA-cam guy saying about not putting all your base on in one go.apparently stacking it will cause it to sink into the coat you’ve just put on.I was always told not to do that but as you say materials and makes of paint are different.I’ve been doing this since 16 now 50 and have used cellulose/acrylic/2k etc etc and the last 20 years I’ve been using waterborne basecoat.maxmeyer and ppg and not really had any major issues as sometimes those reds etc are a bugger to cover so you need a good 4-6 coats of water to cover.anyway dude don’t want to bore you all great video and keep them coming the finish of your jobs are top notch 👌👌👌👌
Thank you sir, and yes all about those materials. I've sprayed some paint brands that I have to apply at least 6 coats for coverage and of course that can't be achieved in one coat. Thank you for your input it's greatly appreciated 💪🏼
My jaw dropped seeing all your qualifications and I think this video was awesome! You make it fun and that's what it's about. I'm in my 50's so not starting a paint career anytime soon... but if I'd have seen this back in High School man I'd be all up on this! Appreciate you and keep up the excellence!
Thank you Majen. Yes I've been on this journey for quite some time And I'm still learning everyday. Just wanted to let it be known that I'm not just some Joe schmo cool cat that doesn't know what he's talking about and more than qualified to help guys learn how to paint cars. I appreciate you watching. 💪🏼❤️
Be yourself and it shows in your videos. The honesty, humbleness, knowledge and experience. I have 22+ years of professional painting experience and am still learning. Your videos are educational, informative and entertaining. I enjoy your content. Put your haterblockers😎 on and keep it pushing. No need to explain yourself. Much respect man. 🙏🏾
💯💯 Beast mode trig💪. I agree w/ everything you said. Much respect! For real. Thanks for sharing your accomplishments. I've been in the car biz my whole life. I know an expert when I see one & i pull up a chair. I'd say your channel is for people that have been hands on for a while and see reality. He was prob. talking about paint society.. helpful to an extent and then uses a bunch sht I'll never use 😂. I only hear about heckler from painters in Germany & Australia. I've watched them from all over the world My first channel I watched was learn autobody & paint kid. We gotta start somewhere. After years of working it, your channel has been great for getting to that next level.
Thank you man, I really appreciate you. And yes that's who he was talking about and that's fine. My only issue is you can't be a painter that learned from watching UA-cam and you're still learning from UA-cam then try to downplay with a real professional who's been in the field painting while you were on the playground playing hide and go seek. I know I joke around with my antics and so forth but when I tell you I love this trade man, It literally saved my life I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for this trade Maybe dead maybe in jail but one thing for sure God had a plan for me and this was it. 🙏🏼
I'm a body man who watches your video because I was never allowed to work for the big shop just places like macco and now I have a job painting service body vehicle for the government I have a lot of problems with my painting so I watch UA-cam videos to help with my blenden so thanks you for your Chanel and content it's a really big help to me
Congrats on your job painting service body vehicles, glad you're getting where you want to be in this trade. I'm glad to hear the content has been a big help for you. Thank you for your support 💪🏼
@thetriggerman954 it's another half ass job like macco I got out of body school in 1986 and companies like this is all that will hire me I just try and do my best but thanks
Hey mate just watched this video and you’re killing it. Fast clean work. Iv been painting 30 odd years on and off but man you smash this work out. I watch most of your videos and reviews and think you pretty fair. Obviously you can paint and make the most of any spray gun good or bad and tell it as it is. Keep going fella your channel is a breath of fresh air champ. Love the channel love your work I don’t hit the base as hard as you but we all have different styles. When I was in the uk if I hit base that hard I could get a fry up in Australia now the heat is up and the base pulls less as it’s warmer conditions so I can hammer it a bit more. Either way it’s working for you you show it as it is just keep going your channel will grow 👍
Thank you sir. Yes I thought it was important that you guys know a little about ole Trigger. So back to business class will be in session this Friday and Saturday 🤓🤙🏼
Bless you Triggerman! 🙏🙏 what a great video! You have mentioned alot of "hidden" knowledge to your channel! It's priceless! I am so glad I come across your channel. Your channel is in my "Top 3" favourites! Always love watching your content! You are legit and you know your sh*t! Hater's are good! Makes you more determined and stronger! Please don't change a god damn thing, Brother! Have a blessed day! Steve 😉😎🤙👍
Triggerman, you teach and work old school, the way I learned. I was doing this when feather fill just came out. You do things your way, which is real world. I appreciate your videos and you input of knowledge. Rock on, brother!
That's you Jeff I appreciate you my man ♥️ I'm old school but I can definitely hang with this new era of painters. I don't need any fancy booth or a Spaceman suit to spit glass 🤙🏻😉🙌🏼
Nuff respect brother I’ve been in the trade painting since lacquer ended late 80s what I love most about you is how humble you are and you don’t let anything get to your head many blessings to to brother keep up the good work hope we can meet one day
I really dont think that other painter was directing anything to The Triggerman he was juat simply doing things his way and teaching things his way like every other painter,I like you Mr Triggerman as well as the other painter I learn from both and appreciate you both, what I dont appreciate is the dude that raised the 2 questions he knew what he was doing basicly pinning the 2 painters at each other that was not cool, when 2 pros have different ways of doing thing I try to learn both ways and not pretent to be confused . Keep up the good work Mr TM !
He didn't specify a channel. So in honey think he was confused. I'm the one that posted it. The guy could have been genuinely confused. I just wanted to give my background regardless. There is no smoke from me with any other channel. Thank you for commenting B 🤔💪🏼
I dont think he was pitting the two painters against each because i know exactly the painter he is talking about because i was watching his channel the very same thoughts came to my mind he said in the video dont listen to other painters listen to him on the first coat has to be a light coat and as mention he reviews cheaper guns with great results but always come back to you have to buy a more expensive gun as like the other guy who commented on that i kinda lost respect for the guy when he said dont listen to other painters
@@sheltonboatwright6023 I hear ya, but everyone does the cheap gun bit, Ive done it myself but at the end of the day a quality gun is going to be consitant and last. i myself always shoot my first coat light that way if theres any reaction im not wasting any additional paint, i belive in picking up ideas and tricks from multiple pros, some of these pros are adamit about doing painting theyre way and theres nothing wrong with that , i belive in learning with an open mind .
@@sheltonboatwright6023you want to know something bro?? The guy you are taking about that's who wrote this message. But from a dummy account. The cat is out of the bag. You can't justify this B the entire paint community sees it. Better off saying you fkd up publicly than so this through a troll account. That's Low
Thank you Buffalo Bill and leaving or not it's in a 305 the 954, the 561 and across the entire US it's just a facts of what goes on in this industry behind the scenes. Luckily I was pre-warned and trained for it. 💪🏼❤️✊🏼
TriggerMan ain't no sell out, which is why I come here to learn from you. I'm an electronics Engineer by trade, and I have taken up "messing about with cars". I'm building my self a spray booth big enough to do parts like doors, hoods and trunk lids. I had no intention of doing this for a living, but people are starting to ask me to do jobs for them after they have seen the results of my own jobs. I watch many channels. I don't know what the best is, but I try stuff and when I find what works for me, I take it and make it mine. Your stuff WORKS for me, so I'm happy Bro. THANK YOU.
Thank you man I'm glad my videos help and grateful to be a part of your journey. That's the smarr thing to do look at all the different channels all of these guys are pretty good. hell you can even learn a few things from a shitty painter. Lol
Trigger man, please don't let the haters influence the way you teach because I have personally learned a lot from your techniques and the way you teach with your love for painting. I am a professional commercial and residential painter for over 25 years but I am now extending myself to paint cars now. I enjoy all your work and videos very much! Keep up the excellent work and keep the haters off you! Always stay humble and God will continue to bless you! 🙂
Ive been painting for 20 years, self taught before the youtube instructional days, no tech school or formal apprenticeship. Just sprayin prayin and learning from mistakes the hard way. I find alot of truth and tricks to tune my process by watching yall experienced guys willing to share and although styles may differ, i can still add some trick or something to be mindful of everytime i watch you or paint society, gunman, or motivated. Thank you for sharing your ways and carry on doin you! 🎉
I was painting with Chevy for almost 5 years. Sherwin Williams solvent base. What are you guys spraying up there? We had 5 painters so had to hustle up those hours.
TriggerMan thank you for keeping it real man. I see it in my world as well. Your blessed with your knowledge to have the patience to teach us YOUR STYLE TO PAINT PORTRAITS, show case your finish products and to encourage us to listen to words of years of experience. Thank you once again I’m about to paint me my first portrait at the age of 73 Gif Bless You keep the your work. Peace
I just painted for the first time a few weeks ago using some of your techniques. Hood came out awesome. Got some dirt in it but painted it in a dirty garage. You’re a beast Trig! We all know that.
Been inThe body shop Business 40 years,, I have found that most experienced painters are prima- donnas,,, and you said it best, know your materials know your chemicals,, automotive paint keeps evolving over the years,, a painter has to stay ahead of the new tech,, you are definitely right on target...
YESSSSIRRRRR!!! Fam standin alllll the way on BIZNESS!!! I’m not a “day one”, but I’m here now learning and enjoying this real talk. Please keep the 🔥 content coming!!!!🫡🎯🫡🎯🫡
Wow like you for a long time now think you are an actual legend! Painter of 20years myself here🙏 I thinks I see as everyone doing differnt is more knowledge sharing be learning which is the way you can take your career your direction
Trigger much respect to you. You're real as they come. I don't have all the things that pro painters have but you and a lot of the other UA-cam painters paint with bare necessities sometimes to help people like me when you guys don't have to. You guys sometimes use small compressors, cheap guns, cheap materials and you don't have to but you guys do it to help us that may not have a choice due to limited finances. You proving you can do more with less just encourages me and others. I thank you for sharing your knowledge. Please don't block them because if they watch long enough they might just learn something from the Trigger man.💪
I have been painting since I was 14. For a long time I used a Sharpe siphon feed gun. I am 56 now and I know that I don't know it all. I have learned a lot watching you. I like every video because it is good information and I want your channel to grow. Don't worry about a weak ass know it all mutha. You do you!
Yes sir.. and thank you. I'm good now brother I just had to Let it be known I'm not just some joking jive turkey from off the streets I live and breathe this paint shit And it can't be taken away. Thank you for chiming in man. I appreciate it. 💪🏼
People will always have something negative to say. Just keep doing you and providing sound advice. I have already learned a few things from your channel over the last few weeks. Enjoying the content..
You and I are kindred paint spirits. It's like you spoke my mind. Mad respect to you. And screw all the haters and primadonna's who think only the big fancy shops have quality techs. They work in fantasy land. We live in the real world.
Hold up hold up 😲 did you say the Vevor lays out clear better than the DV1 clear gun??? 👀👀👀👀 And you're more than welcome Jose thank you for your support ✊🏼
Man u gave me alot of knowledge about paint guns I got sagola 4600 u are all about showing people different guns paints and knowledge you had helped me in using your paint equipment you are great don't mind those want a be experts keep doing what u like doing make those videos u have a bless night
Thank you Richard I'm glad the videos are helping. And I'm not really worried about those suckers I just had to let it be known that I know my shit 😎 have a blessed night brother. 💪🏼
Keep doing what you do brother. I work in a field that includes college guys and field guys. There are guys like you that I would take one of instead of 10 degreed guys. Experience is truly the best teacher and along with a good work ethic, and some initiative success is a certainty. Your story is inspirational even to an old desk guy like me who just wants to paint a hood, roof, fender or a set of mirrors now and then.
brother i watch your painting all the time ,,,by the way i got me a vevor thank to you and i love it ..... just keep on doing what you are doing ,,,, and have fun ,,,seen like you do like painting and have a great time doing it ,,,, i will keep on learning from you no matter what any body say
Trigger man you a legit my father painted for 47 years and he told me what ever material you spray you have best I have been painting 35 years I'm I California the laws are strict here mostly water bourn paint but the smaller shop usually use low VOC Base coat . keep up the good work and the comedy show when your jiving around your a professional .
Thank you man. I appreciate it 💪🏼 I've heard they are strict in Cali never sprayed water but if I had to switch I'd try to master it, your father spoke truth 🙌🏽
Man I knew you were certified. Just had that feeling because you said a few things I haven't heard before. I'm not a professional painter but I do try to spray one professional job a year but I do all my own body work and everything. I just recently subbed and wasn't that familiar with what you do yet. But you have some great content and I've been learning some new tips all day. I've been hot rod painting and odd and ends since the 90's. Difference between me and you is I dont know much and have to work like hell to get the kinds of results you do straight outta the booth lol. Might say I been in the trenches and never left. My paint jobs have orange peel but I do cut and buff so I look like a pro. But takes me weeks to get it right and weeks to tear it completely down. I'm learning from you a different approach of wet on wet and make sure my sealer or primer is mirror finish before I go to the next step. I think im gonna take my 2K primer to 800 and skip sealer this time as long as I don't burn my blocking and try this new rapid blue from a stingray my wife wants on her maxima. I'm old fashioned and it's hard for me to make changes. But I'm leaning toward your methods because you're straight man and I'm getting old to be taking all them steps and using a timer😂. After I use up my roberlo clear I plan to try this clear you use. Not really for pricing but availability and you know what's best. Roberlo is making a new factory in NC but wont be up for a couple years. It's kind of hard for me to get these days. Your commentary is great and I'm listening. Thank you for making this kind of content.
@@lodollar23 you're more then welcome my man. Thank you for the kind words. Yes I've been certified for a very long time. What I said in the video was all true, what my teacher prepared me for was very real , I always made sure my work was top tier I could tell you stories that would give you the chills from the things I've encountered. This trade literally saved my life so I don't take it lightly even though I joke around and have fun but at the end of the day I take it serious. And it feels so good to be able to help guys learn the trade and actually make a living doing it. Probably one of my greatest accomplishments in life. It's more than just clicks and views. Thank you again brother. I appreciate you 🙏🏼🤎
Hello TriggerMan and good day to you Sir. I'm a retired Auto body Technician here in Toronto Ontario. I'm of Portuguese descent and came to this Country when I was 8 years old. Back in the day they called our trade Bodyman and Auto body painter, now we all earned it and the trades are now called Auto Body technician and Auto Body Painter Technician. I now do some body work and painting on the side and came across your channel and thanks to you your videos are not only informative but so much fun to watch because of your happy and cheerful hosting. I only wish you were my teacher on painting cars back in the day. Long and happy life to you and your family. Canada.
Hello and thank you for your kind words JoJo. I'm glad you enjoy the videos and that you can learn and laugh while watching. That means I'm doing my job. Blessings to you and your family my man 🙏🏼🙌🏼♥️
Damn triggerman, I didn't know your channel was so young. awesome production values man. i thought you were a UA-camr for a lot longer. I tip my hat to you good sir. awesome content, thanks for all the knowledge. I know that knowledge takes years to develop. thank you again, and that jab got me there at the end, lol.

@@thetriggerman954 hell man, me and my guys are working on restoring some 90s japanese cars and since I found your channel. I've been sharing links with them. your channel has gotten us out of a few jams or showed us where we were messing up. very much appreciate your work and passion for the craft.
There is no reason for this video. Your work speaks for itself. If another channel is firing shots you need to remember "rent is not cheap in the penthouse". You do great work. Your channel has taught me so much. Whoever is throwing shade is doing it out of fear. Remember, on UA-cam, people fear the competition. Thank you Mike. It is a lot of work lol For the 15 minutes that you guys watch a video there's really like 3 hours into that 15 minutes. But when guys message me and tell me that they're learning and the videos are helping that's more rewarding than anything else I could be doing with those 3 hours. I've even gotten a couple guys jobs in my local area that are subscribers. And man let me tell you there is no greater feeling. Thank you Mike I appreciate you ♥️🙏🏼
Honestly touched my heart brother the last bit of this video especially so happy this trade gave you the life it has given you brother and I wish your teacher was alive today to see how well you’ve done for yourself much respect brother your a great teacher to us all and a even better man bro it shines through you honestly keep winning in life bro 🙏
Thank you Paintman. I appreciate it brother. It has been a long journey and I enjoyed every bit of it. ❤️ I've sprayed along side of legendary painters in my county and I held my own just fine. Thanks again man. I appreciate you 🫡
Triggerman . Also i can tell you you are very passionate about what you do. That is more than half the battle. Just like everything else in this world everyone has their own way of doing things, and yes its the end result that matters, keep up the great videos
With the materials be so unpredictable on results you have to to have a foundation of understanding or you shouldn't be painting.....salute to you brother

I just got my paint/refinish ASE! Finally! I’m almost done with my I-Car refinishing/paint platinum certification! Feels good to finally get certified after so many years of stalling..
Hey triggerman, I need ur advice, I’ve been painting for the city of Philadelphia for over 25 years, I paint mostly police/fire vehicles, we never had a mixing system so I never had to tint or color match vehicles. And me and wife planning to move to Florida and I’m hoping to get a job at Tesla or any dealership but my biggest problem is, I have no experience tinting or color matching vehicles, I’m a bit nervous that I’m going to fail because of that. I took all my test for icar and ASE but I don’t have the hands on experience. Do u think a dealership will hire me with that tinting and color matching experience. I can lay base and clear pretty damn good but we mostly use single stage on fleet vehicles. What would u do if I were in my shoes? Thanks bro.
@@killadelphia215 I've gotten a few guys jobs since starting this channel. I know a few paint reps that are always looking for painters. It might be a little hard to get into a dealer like Tesla without being able to match and tint colors, but you can always apply. I know Tesla has 2 openings now one for day shift and one for night shift. Friend of mine just went there to become a body man after 6 interviews. Yes it's going to be a change from painting those city cars which are normally solid white to matching and tinting pearls, metallics, three stages. You can DM me on IG and I'll give you the basics on color matching Try to help you out when you relocate
Every painter has their own style they practice it they develope it an then they master it. I my self love to get my base coverage in the first coat an for me it is faster an when your painting in a body shop most of the time it is on commision means you get paid for what you paint so time is money an with that being said Triggerman take time out of schedule to help teach new painters the the skill he has master an i for one injoy your video's keep teaching. Maybe we need to change your name to Teacher man
😂😂😂 The Teacher Man. I development that style while I was the only painter operating 2 spray boots, 2 preppers and 8 body men. I had to turn hours like crazy making well over $100k you have to do things that way. Put down your base on one vehicle with most of the coverage, then go put paint on the other vehicle, then go and cut parts, and mix paint for jobs that are coming. So it works in those cases to make the big bucks. Thank you for your support Archery 💪🏼👊🏼
@@ChristianLevy90 the other guy is a professional but he goes by the book like they teach and paint reps tell you how to use there products but most paint reps are sales people and has never painted a car
I'm willing to bet my last paycheck the channel this guy is talking about is paint society. I like the guys channel sometimes but he contradicts himself when it comes to guns. In my 7 years of a collision tech I've learned not to argue with painters about paint stuff. I'm not painter. Painters can't argue with me about body work. That being said people do things different ways. I dont repair things the same way my co workers do. What i do works for me. I know what I'm capable of. Im not worried about what the next man does. I see people on UA-cam do crazy stuff when it comes to fix damage. I don't jump in their comments. I think 99% of negativity you get on this channel are from people who has never picked up a paint gun or sander. They see these others channels and take what they say as law because of the guys personality
Yea I'm not sure what channel it was. And if it is that channel you mentioned it maybe simply because that guy himself is still learning so as he learns more his views will fluctuate back and forth and that is completely fine, but that still doesn't give the right to discredit another professional tech. But it's all good just wanted to let all of you know my background. It's probably something I should have done at the beginning of the channel. Thank you again for your support. ✊🏼
@@sheltonboatwright6023 that's who it always is lol idk why guys on here take is word as gospel. I'm in the body shop 5 days a week. I know what a good painter looks like. Trigger is a good painter. What he says matches up with what i see every day in my shop. I've only disagreed with him once and that involved the use of rattle can primer. My painters hate it so i can't use it. Trigger can do he uses it. It works for him. That's fine. Im not gonna call him a hack just because he uses 1k primer in certain situations. Paint society is more like a tv show now than a learning channel. The guy paints in a new booth with great lighting. Look at triggers booth lol its barely a booth and he shoots glass in there every day even with a 70 dollar gun. That's what a great painter can do. He should have way more sub's than he has but for certain reasons he doesnt
Man ever since you did this video Paint Society has been doing Big giveaways non stop. I guess he doesn't want people to think he's all about making money off of them. He's slick. I follow them and he's never done this many big giveaways 😂😂
Oh really? Lol well I never said that it was them so not sure 😄 I don't follow the channel but I'll take your word for it. Make sure you enter whatever contest you might be the lucky winner 🏆😂
He's not far from you either. Hahaha 😂
It was nice to hear more of your story my friend.
Man now I want to know who you're talking about 🤔
Couldn't of said it any better, and we all know who he's referring too. Really sad that people have to stoop that low. I don't get coverage on my first coat eighter. If it works for you that's all that matters. Keep it real bud. Appreciate all you do.

What happen between him and paint society?
So he shows stuff that works better for DIYers. so do I.

Thank you Rod, I figured there has to be people out there that will get it and can relate. and I appreciate you all the same brother ✊🏼
You are a hard working man and you've done the right thing to explain it . What people don't realize is that you bring 100 spray painters - you will see 100 different ways of painting a car but end of the day same result. Your style and system is unorthodox.
Your work and experience speaks for itself- TRUTH.
Thank you Gregg I appreciate that 🫡
Trigger you have paid your dues, it can be a brutal trade at times without the youtube B/S. I enjoy your narration, one never knows what you will say. You can trust a man that treats the shop's cats with respect. Time is money and you know how to get out of trouble, the sign of a true professional. All the best.
Thank you man. And yes Trigger love the Pussies 2 legged and 4 legged 🤣🤣🤣
I admit that youtube BS was a shocker but I'm taking it like getting initiated into a gang at 16 years old had to fight five dudes for 5 minutes to get in and 10 dues for 10 minutes to get out so I can handle this after my "UA-cam" initiation it's going to be smooth sailing on UA-cam Believe that. Thank you for chiming in It's greatly appreciated 💪🏼

Thanks for sharing your life story with us.

Thank you man. I appreciate it 💪🏼
I've heard they are strict in Cali never sprayed water but if I had to switch I'd try to master it, your father spoke truth 🙌🏽
This trade literally saved my life so I don't take it lightly even though I joke around and have fun but at the end of the day I take it serious. And it feels so good to be able to help guys learn the trade and actually make a living doing it. Probably one of my greatest accomplishments in life. It's more than just clicks and views.
yep my thoughts exactly Paint Society
