    I have both EX and Gemini II. As much as I love the EX, the smooth sound signature in Gemini with that accurate bass with low end details is unbelievable. Worth every penny and will keep EX as a backup.

    Both TWM 2 and 3 of mine stopped working and had issues. So I have no faith in Sennheiser anymore after spending over over $600 + on ear buds that didn't even last one year. I don't recommend them at all for that price they are too unrealiable. Im definitely going to try the Gemini ii's for sure.

    great video. THANKS. What would be your choice between the sony wf 1000xm5 and the Devialet Gemini 2?

    • @h1a8
      @h1a8 6 місяців тому +3

      No contest. The Sony isn't even in the top 5 for sound quality. Technics Az80, and momentum 4(or 3), status between 3anc, Gemini, Denon perl pro, etc all murder the Sony by a lot.
      1. Gemini 2 (best sound but too expensive)
      2. Technics Az80 (dynamic setting)
      3. Denon perl pro
      4. Status between 3anc (original between pro setting with anc on)
      5. Momentum 4 (personalized setting)
      3 and 4 are so close that they can a switch places any given day.
      The technics or the status between 3anc are my vote. Get nothing else

      @@h1a8 why you rate the az80 so high? do they have better sound than mtw 4 and denon perl pro?

    • @h1a8
      @h1a8 6 місяців тому

      @@tracer073 Yes they do. Az80s are the 2nd best sounding tws I've heard to date. But only with the dynamic setting. With default the perl pro and momentum 4 (personalized setting) beats them out. The momentum 4 isn't in the discussion if you used the default settings. You must use the personalized setting to make them shine.
      The problem with the perl pro is that they are not that comfortable and TOO EXPENSIVE. The status 3anc matches them in sound quality but are much cheaper and more comfortable.
      The az80 is a little more expensive than the status (but cheaper than the perl pro).
      So imo the status and az80 are the best bang for the buck.
      I would stay away from the momentum 4 because they ALWAYS FAIL (Break) after awhile. They will start to fail to charge, one earbuds will go out, or some other problem. I bought all of them 1,2,3, and 4 and all of them failed at some (except the 4 because its still new).
      If money is no object then the Gemini 2 tops them all. They sound like professional $200-$400 wired iems

    • @tracer073
      @tracer073 6 місяців тому +1

      @@h1a8 bro what you saying makes no sense, how the az80 is better than the mtw 4 and Perl pro if you said they beat out the az80 with Personalize settings on. Who is gonna use these without personalize settings. Ppl who buy $300 earbuds knows what they are buying. By your info the mtw4 and perl pro is better than the az80. I have 3 buds Apple air pods pro 2 mtw4 and perl pro, and by the looks of it those l are all I need.

      @Ozem_Israel 6 місяців тому +1

      @@tracer073I have the perl pro and the az80 and the xm5 and the status.
      And I would not put them in the order I see here.
      Perl pro
      Status ANC which is really a tie with perl on some songs. ANC is as good as xm5 on the status. ( If I kew I would have got the Bose instead)
      Then AZ80 which are excellent buds all round.
      Then the xm5 which really are only good for comfort and features.
      Sound is good but not at the level of the others.
      I like the way they switch between modes depending on what your doing.

    You get what you pay for. The driver size for the Sennheisers ($299) is 7mm and the Geminis ($449) are 10mm. Not sure if you installed the recent update for the Sennheisers at the time of this reivew. Also there's the substantial price difference shows the Geminis superior expectations. I'd like to see a comparison between the B&O Beoplay EXs and the Geminis. Thanks so much for the review. Great review as always 👍

      @dbean5174 6 місяців тому +5

      Fair, but you have to realize that Sennheiser IEM’s also use a 7mm drivers even in their flagship IE900 at $1000. There are many drivers that are larger but if the quality of the driver isn’t there then it doesn’t really matter. Just something to think about.

    • @ronontech

    I think the Denon Perl Pros are better than both! Real talk, I had both the Devialet Gii’s and the Denon PP’s and all the way around the DPP’s win out, the problem with Ron’s view of the the 2 is the DPP’s open up way more when you turn the volume past his test level! While the DGii’s sound amazing, the DPP’s sound fuller and smoother with very similar soundstages, I hear the instrument separation even more in the DPP’s when you shut off the ANC and Trans mode, which can’t be done at this point on the DGii’s! Try it Ron and you’ll see!

    • @ronontech
      @ronontech  6 місяців тому

      I hear you. And I appreciate your view.
      However, I don't listen to my earbuds at max volume.
      So, I don't test at the level.
      I love the DPPs, they're in my top 3 easily based on their sound.
