HUGE Back To School Snack Haul - What To Buy And Avoid!

  • I had so many requests for a healthy back to school snack haul! I did a deep dive into all things snacks, drinks, dips, and was really surprised how many bad quality products are out there. These are products for kids, yet they are filling them with chemicals, nasty preservatives, sugar, low quality oils, and more. For this back to school healthy haul I went to two grocery stores and will have two videos total. Walmart had a ton of snacks, but many of them were not Bobby Approved. Then I went to Whole Foods and found a bunch more quality snacks, but even many of those had ingredients I would not feed kids. Part two of this video is coming next week, so many snacks to review I could not fit it into one video! Mad love Bobby...Dessi...and Art! XOXO

Concerning the chickpea snacks. I make my own with canned chickpeas, nutritional yeast, and aquafaba (the liquid from the canned chickpeas). No oils, no salts, no sugars. And I know what is in it. My children are grown, so I watched this one to find out if it would be helpful for me. I can think of other snacks that children may like. Bananas, grapes, apples, mandarin oranges (just the right size for little ones), homemade sweet potato fries (baked on parchment paper lined baking pan, no oil or anything added), carrot sticks, celery sticks with need to stir nut butter, rice cakes (ingredient- brown rice only) ( spread with previously mentioned nut butter and top with sliced banana). Thank you for this video. :)

I love these haul videos and have learned so much from you. This is a great idea for the back to school kid food ideas! Keeping it real, my 16 yr old said he’d maybe eat the Larabars and that was it. I do like these ideas for occasional snacks bc let’s face it, they’re pricey. My 13 yr old son loves seaweed snacks and we bought the 6pk at WF (on sale). Very pricey and small serving size but he really liked them. I still pack lunches for my 3 teens bc the school provided lunch is a nutritional nightmare. Keep up the great work!!!

My mom slices apples into thin slices then dehydrated them and puts them into he freezer. They turn into the crispiest chips!
I know you probably can't put them into a kids lunch box for school, they won't be crispy when they defrost, but for home snack they are great. Make at home, with a regular food dehydrator.

I never thought natural flavor was that bad. Thank you so much for your information. Never buying another RX bar. I feel bad for giving them to my niece

I know this is an old video but I am binge watching your videos. Just want to say that I love your approach to healthy food without making me feel like everything I'm going to eat is going to kill me. Your videos are fun and informative and not that doctors office feeling of shit I'm gonna die.

The biggest thing I have taken away from bobbies videos is to read the ingredients. I used to think natural flavor was a good thing. After watching, I did my own deep dive and holy crap, he’s right. Best to stay away from anything that has that. It could be anything and not natural at all. Reallly turned off by this weeks live video where they kept calling out donations. So tacky. Turned it off, half way through

exact same experience. i use to think natural flavors were good, despite they would upset my gut. after bobby i realized that’s why even with natural flavors weren’t the best

Great video....thank you! FYI - Holy Land hummus uses olive oil. Costco (MN) carries two Holy Land varieties: Red Pepper and Traditional.

Thank you for the great educational videos, you are doing great work. You have helped change our eating habits for the better. Would love to see these topics: Sun tan/block lotion, Toothpaste, Soap and Beer. We were looking for a safe sun block lotion but the ingredients were overwhelming. Namaste

Both my toddler daughters loves the dried seaweed. We get the big packs from Costco and they go through them in no time
